Perhaps I should actually bother explaining what the World Tour project actually is.

Time for me to officially introduce to you all:

Total Drama World Tour: Shared Turbulence!

Now, what is this, you may be asking?

To put it simply, it's a reimagining of Total Drama World Tour that puts it more in-line tonally with its immediate predecessors, Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action, in particular taking the most essential plotlines and making them more thought out and, hopefully as a result, more compelling.

Now that sounds good and all, but what does that specifically mean? Well, here's a basic rundown of what it's likely to entail:

-certain locations will become more integral to challenges than they were in the original show (Japan, for example)

-The two new contestants will be receiving some refurbishing. Alejandro, while a great antagonist, was playing on easy mode due to how most of everyone else around him was written in the original show. In different circumstances, however, he'll now have to work harder to get what he wants.

-Sierra is fascinating conceptually and has a lot going for her, but her execution left a lot to be desired. While she's still madly in love with Cody, she'll ultimately be given more to do, and maybe perhaps she'll learn a few things along the way.

-As you may have seen already, Eva has now officially joined the competition. Her inclusion is sure to mix things up quite a bit!

-Gwen and Courtney's friendship will now be far more prevalent early on instead of it mostly falling into the background. This will have very significant consequences later on in the season.

-Can't forget Ezekiel. He is not only more human, but possible more involved, too

There's a bunch of other little things, too, but I'll leave that for you to discover on your own. The current plan is to start releasing chapters on AO3 in about late July, early August, but I'll let you guys know of any potential delays should they arise.

Oh, and one last thing: Shared Turbulence is planned to be the start of a larger saga (or AU, if you will) that will similarly reimagine the future of the competition and any poor unfortunate soul that decides tormenting themselves on international television for a million dollars is a good use of their summer vacation. That bridge, however, will be crossed when we get there.

Music will be playing throughout the game, and it will change periodically, either creating more hazards or a potential advantage.

(Before anyone asks, I'm afraid this challenge will not be featured in Shared Turbulence. It's just a fun hypothetical.)

A word about safe air travel

Now is a good time to remind everyone at home that the Total Drama Jumbo Jet has totally met all safety standards necessary for it to travel in the air.

Any rumors you hear about holes in the fuselage poorly patched up with wood, oxygen masks not working properly, poor ventilation, and animals living in certain compartments are totally bogus and concocted by tabloids desperate for a quick buck.

On Total Drama, safety is our number one priority, and it would be wise to vapid any an all attention seekers jealous at our success. Besides, we can't humiliate our contestants if they perish in a plane crash.

Welcome back, Owen!

The original winner of Total Drama Island, Owen is a upbeat goofball that's managed to keep most of his peer in his good graces in spite of his generally gross habits. Oh, and that one time he became Chris' lackey to mess with people to pay off some debt. He's still profusely apologizing to everyone about it.

Owen has been spending his post-Action days getting onto various other competition shows, especially ones that involve food. Sure, he needs the money, but truth be told, he just really likes being on TV, which is why he's had very little qualms with returning to a 3rd round of Total Drama.

There's just one little issue: Despite facing his fear once, he's still scared of flying. And he's gonna be spending a really long time in a plane traveling across all 7 continents and crossing all 5 oceans.
