Total Drama World Tour: Shared Turbulence

A reimagining of an international competition! Coming in 2026 (hopefully)

Perhaps I should actually bother explaining what the World Tour project actually is.

Time for me to officially introduce to you all:

Total Drama World Tour: Shared Turbulence!

Now, what is this, you may be asking?

To put it simply, it's a reimagining of Total Drama World Tour that puts it more in-line tonally with its immediate predecessors, Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action, in particular taking the most essential plotlines and making them more thought out and, hopefully as a result, more compelling.

Now that sounds good and all, but what does that specifically mean? Well, here's a basic rundown of what it's likely to entail:

-certain locations will become more integral to challenges than they were in the original show (Japan, for example)

-The two new contestants will be receiving some refurbishing. Alejandro, while a great antagonist, was playing on easy mode due to how most of everyone else around him was written in the original show. In different circumstances, however, he'll now have to work harder to get what he wants.

-Sierra is fascinating conceptually and has a lot going for her, but her execution left a lot to be desired. While she's still madly in love with Cody, she'll ultimately be given more to do, and maybe perhaps she'll learn a few things along the way.

-As you may have seen already, Eva has now officially joined the competition. Her inclusion is sure to mix things up quite a bit!

-Gwen and Courtney's friendship will now be far more prevalent early on instead of it mostly falling into the background. This will have very significant consequences later on in the season.

-Can't forget Ezekiel. He is not only more human, but possible more involved, too

There's a bunch of other little things, too, but I'll leave that for you to discover on your own. The current plan is to start releasing chapters on AO3 in about late July, early August, but I'll let you guys know of any potential delays should they arise.

Oh, and one last thing: Shared Turbulence is planned to be the start of a larger saga (or AU, if you will) that will similarly reimagine the future of the competition and any poor unfortunate soul that decides tormenting themselves on international television for a million dollars is a good use of their summer vacation. That bridge, however, will be crossed when we get there.

TDI Courtney: Gets unfairly eliminated with no sympathy from the other campers. Isn’t chosen to come back to the island to compete even though others were.

TDA Courtney: Watches Gwen spend more time with Duncan than Trent. Heard about Trent’s suspicions. Gwen won’t just say that she doesn’t like Duncan and still has feelings for Trent. Is judged for using her lawyers to get into the competition when she literally wasn’t able to fairly compete in the last competition. Is written as a monster for having Duncan sign a letter even though she has no reason to believe he is committed to a relationship with her. Gets voted off by one of the reasons she came back.

TDWT Courtney: Is now calmer and more accepting of Duncan. Suspicion switched over to Gwen, who continuously makes remarks about her crush on Duncan or how fans believe she’d make a better girlfriend for him. Just got back together with Duncan before he decides to leave. Finds peace with Gwen. Excited that she found Duncan again just to realize that he’s moved on even though they literally mutually decided they still wanted to date each other a few weeks ago. Finds out that she was always right about Gwen and Duncan. Is given almost zero sympathy for her situation. Has to deal with Duncan’s change in demeanor towards her.

TDAS Courtney: Finally moves on with her life. Shamed for not forgiving Gwen even though there were only friends for a few weeks and Gwen denies doing anything wrong. Decides to forgive her anyways and is almost immediately kicked back to the curb by Gwen for being a “hypocrite” even though her situation with Cameron is nothing similar to Gwen’s situation with Duncan. Still begs for Gwen’s forgiveness anyway.

Fandom: god she’s toxic

If anything, with the way Gwen behaves in All-Stars, it makes Courtney look like an unreasonably good person for not only being able to forgive someone who believes she didn't do anything wrong, but actively begs for said person's forgiveness when she's done objectively less worse to her. It's little wonder people think there's something romantic between them (hi I'm people)

Welcome back, Owen!

The original winner of Total Drama Island, Owen is a upbeat goofball that's managed to keep most of his peer in his good graces in spite of his generally gross habits. Oh, and that one time he became Chris' lackey to mess with people to pay off some debt. He's still profusely apologizing to everyone about it.

Owen has been spending his post-Action days getting onto various other competition shows, especially ones that involve food. Sure, he needs the money, but truth be told, he just really likes being on TV, which is why he's had very little qualms with returning to a 3rd round of Total Drama.

There's just one little issue: Despite facing his fear once, he's still scared of flying. And he's gonna be spending a really long time in a plane traveling across all 7 continents and crossing all 5 oceans.

perhaps one of my least favorite things about RR is how many characters sound identical to older TD contestants

Ellody sounds like Courtney

Carrie sounds like Bridgette

Kitty sounds like Katie (and Lindsay to an extent)

It kinda breaks the immersion a little, ya know?

Welcome back, Courtney!

A prodigy in the making, Courtney is a hard-working, naturally competitive young woman with huge ambitions and an unbreakable resolve. She has to admit, however, that said resolve been tested greatly the past couple of years.

Some deem her outbursts on the film set a justified reaction to being rigged out of the game at summer camp. Others believe her to be a brat who bullies people with her legal team to get what she wants. She certainly get no sympathy every time Celebrity Manhunt publicizes her relationship spats or drags her into beef with other Total Drama alumni

In recent times, things have started to stabilize in her life. Her reputation among her peers has slowly been rebuilding, she's been elected to and retained her status as student council president, she's been accepted into various different schools, she still wins most competitions she enters, and things seem to be turning around with her and Duncan. Still, winning the $1,000,000 from the show that wronged her is the ultimate demon she seeks to conquer.

Sure, coming back could put her current stability is at risk, but it's a calculated risk she's willing to take.

Welcome back, Heather!

She ran the Island like it was no one's business...then she was shaved bald on national television and turned into a joke on the film set. It's only continued downhill from there as her conflicts continued over the internet, burning whatever shaky bridges still stood for her and her peers.

On the bright side, some of her hair grew back. Enough to put it in a tiny ponytail! Celebrity Manhunt insists it's an extension, but they hound on her for everything. She doesn't let them bother her. Allegedly.

Back for round 3, Heather is not only more skilled, but also far more vengeful. She will stop at nothing to get back at the game that wronged her and she'll makes sure that anyone who gets in her way of the $1,000,000 suffers!

So here's a quick run down of the status of every major named character in the leaks

The adults that host TV shows:

Chris and Chef have two full rotations for both their classic and reboot iterations, with Chef having an additional 3rd for his dramarama iteration. Their classic iterations are in the All-Stars folder.

Don of Ridonculous Race fame has a full rotation as well in that show's respective folder.

As for the celebrity manhunt duo, Blaineley has a full body appearance in both files related to Sierra and files pertaining to the Ridonculous Race finale (her pink dress appearance). Josh meanwhile has two different designs in the dramarama folder marked under "Generic Crowd"

The original cast:

Heather, Gwen, Courtney, Duncan, Lindsay, Alejandro, and Sierra's rotations are all located in the All-Stars folder. Sierra's is specifically her short hair design, though her poses all depict her with the classic long hair.

Owen, Noah, and Geoff's rotations appear in the RR folder

Leshawna, Harold, Cody, Beth, Izzy, and Bridgette have their classic teen rotations located in the Dramarama folder. Owen, Noah, Gwen, Courtney, and Duncan's classic teen rotations are also found in this folder.

Most of the remaining cast don't have rotations accessable, but they do have full body appearances in various pose files in the All-Stars folder. These include:

Trent (Appears in Heather and Lindsay's) DJ (Appears in Lindsay's and partially in Courtney's) Katie (Only appears in Courtney's) Sadie (Appears in Duncan's and Chris') Eva (Only appears in Duncan's) Justin (Only appears in Courtney's) Tyler (Only shows up in a file pertaining to the bear)

And lastly Ezekiel. His feral form's rotation is in the All-Stars folder, but his human form has yet to have been uncovered.

Revenge of the Island:

All the players that appear in All-Stars have their full rotations in that folder. These being Zoey, Mike, Cameron, Scott, Jo, Lightning, and Sam. Lightning's has white hair, though his poses all depict him with his classic brown hair.

Mike's rotation doesn't contain his alters, but assets related to all of them are scattered throughout the All-Stars episode files and his poses.

Anne Maria and Brick do not have rotations, but do have files containing full body appearances. Anne Maria's is via her RR cameo and Brick's is through a random ROTI shot having found its way into the All-Stars folder.

The top half of Dakota in both human and mutant form exist in an episode file for All-Stars, though her pendant is missing, as are her hips and legs.

Dawn, B, and Staci are currently all unaccounted for.

Pahkitew Island:

Every single Pahkitew Island contestant has a full rotation sheet in the Pahkitew folder, with Leonard having a second one in the RR folder for his appearance in that show.

The Ridonculous Race:

Speaking of which, every single RR contestant has a full rotation in the RR folder, no strings attached. It even comes with a bonus Ticket Clerk rotation.

Reboot:

And finally, every single reboot contestant has a full rotation sheet in the reboot folder, though I'm doubtful there's one for Zee's beta design.

Will update with any new information as I continue to comb through everything.

Welcome back, Gwen!

The resident goth girl. Having come out of her shell a bit the past couple of years, she started an internet blog after the end of Total Drama Action to speak her mind and share her art to an audience of her own accord.

While her online endeavors have gotten her a dedicated following, things did end up getting a bit messy, having gotten into nasty beef with Heather, being caught calling Duncan hot, and the fallout of that whole ordeal attracting a bunch of unwanted attention. Still, she's one of the most liked contestants among her peers, and no amount of petty internet squabbles were ever gonna come between her and the people she holds dear.

While she's not exactly thrilled to be invited back for a 3rd season of Chris’ demented game show, a 3rd chance at $1,000,000 worth of college funds is very tempting, and extending her winter break with a trip around the world certainly doesn't hurt, either. Now if only things that happened online stayed online.

i've been trying to find the highest quality renders of the missing gen 2 cast (B, Brick, Dakota, Dawn, and Staci) for the past few days since the leaks so far have turned up nothing and it's been rough

within the files I have access to as well as what others have posted, this is all I've seen of them so far

Update: There's a singular shot from Revenge of the Island in the All-Stars files for some reason, and look who it is, our favorite military guy

Also that one all-stars file with dakota assets in it has her entire upper half in both human and mutant form (albeit her necklace is missing)

that puts 9.5 (dakota counts as half since her legs are still missing) out of 13 gen 2 characters being found in the files

What did you think of the leaked first draft of the first episode of the reboot?

the final episode was overall better, but i'm gonna be so honest: chris' dialogue was very much written with potenza in mind and his line delivery was so much better

also there's certain bits they should have kept, like MK saying ribbit or Millie's nonbinary bit (just without Zee interjecting, I don't think that anything to the scene)

i'm also having an internal debate over whether or not the paddle boat is better than the drone. on one hand, the paddle boat is more in-line with the show, but the drone has its moments too

also, the drone version of caleb's elimination had him saying "this is garbage!" and that's become a really funny in-joke amongst my friend group
