Today, 30M of people are without sight. According to World Health Organization, 80% of the cases are preventable. However, over 90% of them live in poverty and that makes getting a proper treatment for visual impairment extremely difficult. To fight this challenge, a group of medical professionals in Korea founded an organization called Vision Care(vcs2020.org). Today, they work in more than 30 countries, providing eyewear, cataract surgery, medication and many more. They also train local eye doctors and nurses to create more sustainable solutions. For every candle you purchase, 10% of our sales are donated to Vision Care for their sight restoration work.
