Class
For years I've searched
For an isolated special sort of someone
To share with my soul.
Door after door shut
Each hall closed abrupt
Every path corrupt.
No love was ever enough.
Every poem written for something or someone lost
Every song shared for a bond without hold
Every thought spread to an ear turned
Every eager idea distorted, dismissed and used against
Fallen flat, entire points missed.
If I expect any to last
It's about time I share with the class.
