Shark introduced the Raw model to attract naked and street bike riders back in 2013. It has become an iconic helmet for everyone looking for something extraordinary and outside the main stream. Coming at a competitive price point of 220€/180GBP it fills the sub 250€ price point of a 3/4 Jet helmet. Thanks to a Polycarbonate construction, its weight (1050g) is on par with the majority of Fibreglass helmets from HJC and AGV. Styling: As a 3/4 helmet it won’t protect your freshly waxed moustache from a direct interaction with the pavement but it will keep the hornets and flies away, thanks to its Bane looking mask. The goggles are something else. Designed by Carl Zeiss, meant to scare the sun rays away, do more damage as bat repellent sunglasses :) Perfect not only while on a city ride but on highway roads as well. Fitment: If your head is round and shaved ( like mine) this bad boy will fit you perfectly. The Bamboo moisture wicking lining feels like Italian silk or “Vercase on your head”. If u are up for a short run to the grocery shop or a romantic gateway with the missus, this helmet will fulfil its purpose. Keep one thing in mind though, you might give a heart attack to elderly ladies or be taken as a hit man especially when waiting for someone outside a hotel ( true story )
