This shouldn't be like a Piping Hot Take but if you're a full functioning adult (like past college age) you really should not be interacting with literal children online. Like at all. Which isn't to say that teenagers can't talk to adults online, I'm in discord servers with tons of ppl who are in the 18-21 range (the oldest person I know is like 22 or 23 I think) but they're all still pretty young and they're either close enough in age to me that it's not weird or they're very clear to establish the age difference, or both. And sometimes people aren't either and I just don't talk to them because get this: it's fucking weird.

Like if you're 25 and you're in a server with all 15 and 16 year olds, and they're your close friends and you're saying that you love each other and treating each other as equals, that's fucking creepy, even if you don't mean it to be. You're not on equal footing. You're not in a position to be interacting with each other as if you are. No matter how mature you think these people are, you need to remember that they're still children.

This got rly long but tl;dr if you're an adult talking to kids on the internet you need to remember your place, and honestly if you're 22/23+ maybe you just shouldn't be surrounding yourself with kids at all

I only watched a couple episodes of banana fish I'm not really in on the scoop but can y'all PLEASE stop labeling it an "iconic gay anime" and putting it with shows like yuri on ice and no. 6 when a) they were never even a couple in the manga it's totally not the same thing, b) the anime is being either written or directed (I don't remember which one) but a literal fujoshi, and c) it's constantly throwing around slurs and just having generally homophobic characters. It's fine if y'all wanna watch it, I'm not the fucking anime police and I understand liking things that aren't necessarily that great whether it be morally or writing wise (cough seraph of the end cough) but treat it like what it is instead of acting like it's the next big step for the gays

Y'all have GOT to choose between stanning mikayuu and calling them each other's family. Both points have some validity but you just can't support both. You cannot call them family, as in you see them as brothers, and still ship them do you not see how weird that is
