Hey everyone, last day to submit! (for this week anyways) Starting tomorrow remember to only vote for pets that are protesting NFTs so we have a better chance at getting one pet on the News page! Here are my entries in case they get disqualified again....
And as you can see these are all edited versions of past entries, but for 10 pets, that’s what I had to do in order to finish the entries on time.
I know its after the altador cup, but I’m just posting all the art I havent posted before. So here’s her giving support for meridell, painting, and drinking tea underwater (just don’t ask how that’s possible.)
Copy and pasted from her pet page, posting here in case Neopets is discontinued. It’s written like an interview under the cut.
Thank you for taking the time to let me interview you. Let's start off with an easy question, who do you support for the Altador Cup and why?
Why such a polarizing question right off the bat! My dear, I can't just throw my support for any old team! I have to stay diplomatic after all. Besides, I'm not really one for sports. Although I suppose, the Meridell team has my support at the moment.
What do you do for a career?
Why I'm a diplomat to Meridell. I am originally from the Darigan Citadel and I help to ensure the peaceful relations between the two nations. I also help pets who are new to area find their footing, and while my duties are primarily focused on those from the Citadel, I try to help all where I can. I also teach etiquette lessons on the side. Would you like some tea?
Oh, thank you. This is delicious! Where did you get this brew? And what do you like to do when you're not working?
I grow many of my own plants for brewing. The soil in Meridell is much more fertile than that of the Citadel, and I plan to take advantage it while I'm here. I also enjoy painting as Meridell is just so colorful, just like its wonderful citizens!
Were you always a darigan flotsam?
In my younger days, I may have felt a bit blue about it, but yes, I have always been a darigan flotsam.
How did you meet your petpet?
My little adorable Teku was a gift from some nobles in the Lost Desert. They're a sassy little thing!
How did you meet nobles of the Lost Desert? I thought you were stationed in Meridell?
Oh of course you would dear, I haven't indicated anything else. While most of my work does revolve around relations between the Citadel and Meridell, occasionally I will travel elsewhere when it is required. For example, it was lovely visiting Maraqua as I didn't need to rely on a Darigan Gravity Device to travel through the city and being underwater did wonders for my fins. The rivers in Meridell aren't the best for swimming...
So I've heard, but what is a Darigan Gravity Device?
Ah well, I'm not surprised you've heard of it. Although you may be familiar with its more common name, Pocket-Gravity. Its basically just a miniature version of the technology and magic that keeps the Citadel afloat. They are manufactured on this much smaller scale so those of us who have difficulty walking can still have mobility. I find it very helpful to not drag the edges of my dress in the dirt.
Interesting! Are there any outfits or fun pictures you want to show off from your travels?
I don't tend to take too many pictures while I'm on official business, but I suppose I could explain my uniform. To protect against the cold winds, I often have a heavy Meridellian cloak. Under the cloak, I then wear something refined and fancy to match the classic style of the noblefolk in Meridell.
Moving on, how did you meet user/your sponsor?
Well, it was after the second war between Meridell and the Citadel. I was just a frightened little thing and wasn't sure if the peace would last. The Citadel was looking for volunteers to try to keep peaceful relations and while nervous, the benefits from the job proved quite promising. The only trouble was, I needed a sponsor. It took quite a bit of time, but eventually I found maf40, and she's been such a great help to me over the years!
Here is one last fun question to finish off the interview. If you had a title like the Heroes of Altador, what would it be?
Sharkhorn the Diplomat
That's all the questions that I have for you at the moment. Thank you for answering them Sharkhorn!
Alright, so I finally drew all my pets in full body somewhat stock poses, which means I can just paste them all right night to each other if i want to. And I did! So here are all my pets roughly how I see them when they’re all together. If I draw them more humanoid then the size differences will be smaller and so it’s easier for me to work with and draw, but here are their imagined sizes:
Snow the Magma Eyrie is the tallest, followed by Jolly0 the Ruki. Then Maple (the faerie lutari), Oak, and Jolly K (the kougras) are all roughly the same height. Maple is slightly taller, Oak is slightly smaller, and Jolly K is in the middle, but basically the same height. Then Tilleri the peophin is kind of the only middle sized pet, as Darkstike the jetsam, Sharkhorn the flotsam, Anna the eyrie, and Maggie the Zafara, are all around the same height, but are short. And while this size line up is roughly based on their cannon sizes, here are their actual cannon sizes:
Do you see the difference!?!? Neopet sizes are wild! Sharkhorn ends up being less than a 10th of Snow’s size!!! You can barely see here in this group line-up! Also, the size difference between the two eyries is crazy because Anna used to be xweetock and those things are tiny! What is interesting is the size difference between Maggie and Jolly K remained about the same... But everything else is so different! Especially if you factor in petpets! A spyder for a eyrie would be a monster for a flotsam!
Darigan flotsam diplomat between the Darigan Citadel and Meridell. Did I participate in the plot between these two lands and am knowledgable about the aftermath? No. Can I pretend I know? Yes.
Again, very old pet but recently painted. Still working on creating more art.
