how about 103. “At this point, if a clown invited me into the woods, I would just go.” for samsharon please?
It had been exactly two months, three days and five hours since that old and wrinkled version of Steve Rogers showed up and passed the shield and all that came to it, to Sam Wilson. Two months, three days and five hours since Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes had become partners. And friends, depending on the day. It had been two months, three days and six hours since Sam had been done with Barnes and his antics. In all honesty, he had been done with the man ever since the first time he tried to kill him, sure he was brainwashed and all that but Sam was pretty sure cockiness couldn’t be blamed on the mental manipulation. And, as often happens when you get two people who are stubborn and bold and overall the same but refuse to acknowledge who similar they are, a third party was needed to keep them both at bay.
The lucky person on whom the task of making sure they didn’t kill each other fell onto was the one and only Sharon Carter. At first, she found it funny. It was like watching two siblings argue over who was mom’s favorite, then it became a bit tiring and a couple weeks ago or so the blonde hit her limit. Pepper suggested books on how to get kids to get along, Maria was more radical; she told Sharon she needed to make it clear she was the alpha dog and they had to listen to her. In the end, Sharon went with Bruce’s advice and joined him in his daily yoga and meditation routines. It turned out it really helped grow your patience and your ability to not give a shit about other’s people nonsense.
It wasn’t always bad. In fact, when it was just one of them it was almost pleasant. Especially when it was just she and Sam. He had a unique capacity to make her feel relaxed and at ease and his mere presence calmed her nerves - as long as Bucky wasn’t in the same room. Steve’s departure had been hard for everyone but Sam had taken upon himself to hide how much it saddened him. He had been trusted with keeping Captain America alive and that meant no time for mourning his friend’s loss or being angry for basically abandoning him after all the things he had done and risked for the man. As much as he had tried to hide it, Sharon had seen right through his facade. Not few were the times she had caught Sam staring at the shield with a mix of longing and fear in his eyes when he thought no one was watching.
In the short time that had followed Steve's departure, the trio had lived more adventures than were bound and that had made them grow closer. Laying on the couch of the one-room apartment the three of them have been staying in for the past week, hiding from some government agents, Sam and Sharon tried to pass the time while Bucky was sound asleep on the only bed.
”At this point, if a clown invited me into the woods, I would just go.” Sam said suddenly, eyes fixed on the ceiling. He was bored out of his mind.
“How about we play strip poker instead?” she suggested. Sam’s eyes lit up immediately.
“Now, that’s a plan.”
