                ‘      HEY  ,  HEY  ,  HEY       !!     i got sensitive ears you TEASE     !!      ‘              joyous rapture found on the tip of his tongue   ,   a melodious SONG of wantonly deeds punctuating the air  .   trembling notes that FALL   ,   trilling voices LOST to the cacophony of the forest around them  .  they MELT into the noise  ,  are lost within the foreground  ,  blending shades of pallor and bark    .    the sunlight DARES not peek through the clouds of storm gray that cast their daytime world into darkness   ;   below them the others MILL around  .   as if they are lost in a DAZE  ,  supine beings drowsy with dreams they cannot have  .   they are SMALL from such vantage point  ,  mere ants dancing around each other  ,  arms that reach to touch others as they pass by  ,  GREETINGS heralded on singular tones of laughter  .  some are genuine  ,  some are FLAT and without cheeriness          (     he can only SUPPOSE that he has picked up on the SUBTLE hints of lying from being around maggie so long   .    though his skill is F A R from certain  ,  and in most cases would never fare in holding TRUE  .   yet he likes to THINK he’s picked up on a bit of human psychology from merely watching people react to her     )

he is SURE some below have heard his outbreak   ,   yet there is an ABSENCE of recognition  .   a folly that once would have GRIPPED his core and sent the flush of crimson across his cheeks is no more  .  instead he LAUGHS  ,  nimble fingers rubbing the spot where her teeth had just departed  .  she is a being of MISCHIEF  ,  a sprite  ;  a VIXEN of a woman  ,  and he cannot help but attempt to RECIPROCATE as well as he can  .  he smiles   ,    a coy coyote        (   the trickers of the native people  ,  he is not PROUD enough to be a wolf  ,  but he is quirky enough to mimic the oddities of the lesser coyote  )        noah leans in    ,    the turtleneck of his sweater hung LOOSE enough that barren skin is glimpsed beneath it      ,     lips FLUSH against the underside of her jaw  .   gentle and ADORING pecks  ,  nose NUDGED against her cheek  .   falters for a MOMENT  ,  as if suddenly s h y  ————–    but the opportunity is TAKEN  ,  and he N I P S her jaw in equal mirth and affection  .
