Shartar is a Mongolian game closely related to chess - chess and shartar are both descendants of the ancient Persian game shatranj.

In shartar, the "queen" is a leopard, the "pawns" are dogs, "bishops" are camels, and "rooks" are carts. The rules are also slightly different, but I don't know how.
