Another MV by a foreign artist shot in Kazakhstan that I wanted to post a while ago.

Yes, it’s Skin by Rag'n'Bone Man, and yes its video was made in Kazakhstan. Again, you can see the beautiful landscapes with the vast steppes and Sharyn Canyon as well as ruins of the cities abandoned decades ago during the Soviet times. In other words, everything that’s required to deliver that post-apocalyptic atmosphere as intended.

By the way, there are actually two boys playing the main role - Alibek and Alisher, identical twins who, I must say, did an amazing job without having any prior acting experience.

Fun news!

A K-pop group called IN2IT that apparently just debuted, released their first MV which was actually shot in Kazakhstan. You can see the impressive landscapes of Sharyn Canyon aka “the Grand Canyon of Central Asia”, and, strangely enough, oldschool Soviet cars which no one actually drives anymore 🤔 It’s good to know that more people are becoming interested in coming to Kazakhstan to shoot stuff recently. Or probably in this case it was influenced by the development of Q-pop? Who knows!

Anyway, check out the picturesque views of this natural beauty.

Sharyn Canyon is an 80 km canyon in Kazakhstan on the Sharyn River, 200 kilometres (120 mi) east of Almaty, close to the Chinese border. It is part of the Sharyn National Park, which was established 23 February 2004 and located within the territory of the Uyghur and Kegen Districts of Almaty Province.

It stretches 154 kilometres (96 mi) along the Sharyn River in the northern Tien Shan mountain range. In parts, it attains a depth of 150 to 300 metres (490–980 ft).

One part of it is known as Valley of Castles for its unusual rock formations. The width of it ranges from 20 to 80 metres (66–262 ft) and the length is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi).
