I’m bad at thinking of prompts but honestly I’m curious about like. Something like so if Matt and Keith are both dating Shiro, how’s their individual relationship with each other?? Is it weird, does it take time, do they V or end up triading
oh man i have Thoughts on this so im just gonna… start writing and see if fic happens lol. (under a cut for length… spoiler alert no fic happens oops)
its kinda hard to say because we know so little about matt but i like to think of him as being a sassmaster like pidge, and i Love kidge, so i like to think that matt and keith would eventually get together?
but like. eventually. i think however their relationship with shiro starts, obviously theyd both have to be onboard, but i think keith especially would be prone to jealousy… and shiro would be really careful about treating them equally but also tries to get them to hang out just with each other…
i think they would have been at least acquaintances through shiro pre-kerberos so it wouldnt necessarily be hard for them to be friends but itd be a really snarky relationship. maybe some Real snark at first but theyd end up like, casually dragging each other to show affection. matt walks in like “hey asshole” and keith just deadpan says “fuck off” without even looking up but then matt plops down on the seat next to him and they just chat about whatever like they werent acting like they hate each other and only shiro is 100% sure its really affectionate lmao.

oh NO i just remembered a plot bunny from some garrison fic i never got around to (i think it was gonna be sh@llura tho but w/e). ok so like all shiros friends are lowkey crushing on him? hes just that kinda guy? and like, idk, wednesday nights hes off tutoring cadets or something so his friends hang out without him and they kinda occasionally like… gush about something he did or something because they all lowkey love him and cant talk about it when hes there. it becomes a tradition, and then someone starts smuggling in cheap alcohol, and then matt dubs it “wine & pine” and theres no going back.
keith is like a year or two behind the rest but he doesnt have any other friends so he attends begrudgingly and kind of… goes from a vague sort of hero-worship, role model feeling, to actually liking shiro from all the stuff he hears (and starting to see it himself), and eventually starts contributing (to mild cooing from the rest). matt, on the other hand, was smitten from day one.
neither are particularly bothered by the “competition” partly because no one there thinks they have much of a chance anyway (shiro not having shown interest in… anyone, ever. he thinks itll ruin their group dynamic) but partly because they just… dont mind, i guess. keith would maybe be a little bothered because he doesnt have a lot of people in his life, let alone ones hes really attached to, but matt could easily be in the “attached to” category instead of the “taking my only friend(s) away from me” category, so.

aaand this got long and no fic happened, alas. but thanks for asking about it, ive decided i fuckin love this ship now. i wonder wtf its called…
