I gave a child a gun...Archie knows what it's like to take the life of another human being. It didn't occur to me in the moment, I just handed him a machine gun and a few bullets. In my mind, I thought of it as him defending himself...But I've turned a child into someone who destroys life.

It hit me deep within the well of my soul...If everyone in Vault 111 had survived would I have done this to Shaun? Would the world have been horrifying enough and would I have been so apathetic to make Shaun into a killer?

I have decided to redecorate my old house. I wish my settlers would stop coming in. I fear that If they startle me, I will kill them with a shotgun.

I've even redecorated Shaun's old room so he's comfy when he comes back home. :). I filled it with all kinds of things to make him feel comfortable. Some of his old toys, a flag, a painting from his apartment. A brain in a jar that I found.

Dinner Talk.

My son just says the most terrible things without provocation...Last night I thought it would be good fun to host a family dinner in Convenant. So I banished most of the settlers to the wastes to scavage while I set up a big dinner table. Synth Nora and I even went out to shoot a deathclaw to make a nice aspic for the table. I spent several hours in the kitchen cooking. I roasted radroaches, I pouched rad chicken eggs, and I even had a selection of Old old-fashioned doughnuts for the table.

I thought everything was going good. I even didn't mind that Piper and Codsworth were there. Everything was going just fine until Shaun looks Preston directly into his eyes and said, "Be the father that stepped down."

He then got up, tossed his napkin onto his plate and went to bed with our only bottle of wine.

The night was ruined and I'm a worse man for it. I took out my frustration by consuming a raider camp.

Before the war my situation with my son would be like a sitcom: Shaun(s) Dodson. One is old, the other is a creepy robot baby.
