Time for random superbat au ideas that I get in the middle of work and I don't have time to edit and make it sound nicer...

Based on that one JLU episode “The man who had everything” basically Justice Lords au but it starts as like regular justice league members but clark and bruce are happily together everything is right in the world, they fight crime, etc. Bruce somehow always comes out unscathed or Clark rescues him at the last second yadda, yadda everything is fluff and from Clark’s pov. Then the pov changes to bruce who is monitoring a detainment chamber that houses one justice lord superman with the black mercy attach to his chest. They keep him under a red sun powered light so they can still keep him alive but powerless. Bruce tries to convince himself that this is for the best but he also reminisces about the good ol times before they were the league and not the lords and the people weren’t scared of them. Before clark killed for the first time and bruce had to stop him somehow and manage to convince the others to join him in stopping him. His pov is more bittersweet and he could only wish for things to not have turned out the way they were.

Omg does anyone know what happened? I was about to start reading Unconditionally and the story got deleted??? Like I didn't even get a chance to look at the author because I refreshed the tab and the story was gone!! I was so excited to read it too 😭😭😭

Don’t know where to put this idea so obviously I’m putting it here. 

Basically superbat soulmate au where you can’t see color until you meet/touch your soulmate but with a twist, you can see some colors when you make/have a core memory and that transfers to your soulmate. Also for the purpose of this au Kryptonian physiology/biology does not negatively affect soulmate bonds (if that makes sense), and they are the same age. 

Anyways all I could think about is just snippets of this au for example one of the  times that Clark sees color is on a day that he wakes up really early, right before the sun comes out. Ma and Pa earlier that week had explain to him some of the colors that they could see and told him of the beauty that was the sunrise colors. He hadn’t been able to experience seeing that but he really enjoys the warmth of the sun, the feel of it on his skin and so he decides he wants to experience a sunrise even if he can’t admire the colors he can still appreciate it (he thinks). And so on top of the Kent’s farm house he waits for the sunrise and he isn’t sure what set it off but as the sun begins to peak out on the horizon, hearing Ma and Pa’s words he see it, the first ray of the sun the bright, yellow, sun. 

And it was beautiful, just the way they had told him. Somewhere far out in Gotham little Bruce is able to see yellow in the bright lights that shone all around the city, not white as he was used to but actual yellow and somehow he finds them beautiful, like he was seeing them, really seeing them for the first time. 

There is another one where Bruce experiences a color, how could he not when he had witness the death of his parents. The bright, warm blood pouring out of them coating their clothes, their skins. It was so vibrant, the red of it all was just so overwhelming for him and he hates the fact that that is how he got see another color, by watching his parents death. Red is one of Bruce’s least favorite colors, well until Clark, but still. The only other color that causes such distaste for him would be green. 

And so they get a few more colors up until they meet, blue, green, purple. Not enough to see the world fully in color, or experience the different shades of said colors they can see but that changes the first time they meet. 

I’ve been watching/re-watching some of the DC animated universe movies, so I thought it fitting that the moment they get hit with the full spectrum of color is during a world-wide invasion, not to mention the two of them fighting right away. 

I mean Batman wanted to speak to Superman from the very beginning but of course GL wanted to make a show out of it, prove some kind of point so as B is watching him get his ass handed to him, he can’t avoid the incoming man crashing into him/the box he had trapped him in originally. Followed that up with getting grab and rapid pushed against a brick wall. Bruce is slightly disoriented he hears Superman talking but not quite make the words, he also hasn’t realize that shift in the world. Superman notices, but he can’t focus on that right now, his soulmate is right in front of him and for a second he doubts himself because he saw the man carrying the motherbox, what were the chances of his soulmate possibly being evil and trying to ruin the world? 

And so the fight carries on about the same as in the movie with some slight changes and neither of them really gets a chance to fully discuss the situation once the invasion fully starts. Bruce only gets a small moment to really think on it when he decides to chase after Superman when he gets captured and then proceed having to fight him again to snap him back to his usual self.  

And yeah, they find each other so what now? Well if you are one Clark Kent, aka Superman, then well you try to do what you had planned when you said you would find your soulmate. He asks out Bruce, right after their award ceremony. Bruce just stares at him, making the man fidget and actually a bit flustered because they really did not get on the right foot. (If you asked Clark it was nothing like he imagined it would happened, he really expected a more romantic way but still).

Batman just walks away, his backed turned to him and he answers very quietly, “I’m free in two weeks, we can plan something then.” Leaving it at that, with a happy, Clark smiling bright, just like the sun as he waves at him telling him that he will make it the best date and that he will call him soon. 

But yeah happy ending for these two in the end if I have anything to say about it.

So I have this idea I want to do and basically it is to draw some of the demon slayer characters in the Okami style but some could actually be the deities (not sure if I want to make like an okami au or just like a redraw series, still working out the details) but so far I actually have like 4 in mind so it would be Kyoujurou as Moegami (fire god), Sanemi as Kazegami (wind god), Giyuu as Nuregami (water god) and lastly Inosuke as Bakugami (the explosion god but mostly because it is a boar)

I would do this once I have more time because college is kicking my ass but I still think this would be a really cool idea!
