✘ ♕ ✘ New York was hands down one of Ilya's favorite cities to play in. There was always something to do there, and even though the locals hated him, that hate only fueled him further. The game was a tough one, after all, the Admirals were now cup defending champions. Boston lost, but only barely. He couldn't be mad, his team put up a fight. Rather than go to his usual clubs this night, though, he wanted to pay Hunter a visit. Though he'd already congratulated the other captain at the club in Vegas, he wanted to follow up on this idea that Hunter had about pooling hockey players (queer and ally alike) into some sort of force for activism.
And truth told, hanging out with the now out gay hockey player made Ilya feel a little less alone. Even if he was still in the closet. Amusingly enough, even when he went to the gay clubs and bars, he was just touted as being a wonderful ally. Who knew someone could be that straight passing?
The bar had a good crowd, though it wasn't packed. The moment Ilya walked in, Scott Hunter's smile fell and he rolled his eyes. "What? So sad to see a real hockey player in the same room? Or are you just grumpy is past your bedtime?" That earned him a 'Fuck you, Rozanov', much to his delight, causing the Russian to chuckle as he went to the bar.
Almost instantly, his attention was diverted when he beheld the man behind the counter. At once, Ilya knew that this man was going to be a problem and he looked forward to it. "What's good here?" he asked with a sly smirk, leaning an elbow on the bar.
