Mid Century Shaw Walker Model 419 Executive Swivel Chair, original brown vinyl, aluminum frame and base. As found origin condition, amazingly vinyl is in very good condition, I found some ribs but no holes, cracks or drips. White Mark's appear to be paint and I believe will clean off.

Shaw-Walker Furniture Company, Muskegon, Michigan—Pre-Demolition, August 2015. No. 2 of 2. Founded by L. C. Walker in 1899, the Shaw-Walker Co. boasted in 1951 it had over 4,000 items on offer and was “the largest exclusive makers of office furniture and filling equipment in the world.” And it all started with a system to organize 3x5 index cards! SW Co. was eventually sold to Westinghouse in 1989. In the early 1920s, an in-house newsletter, System, became so popular with outsiders and customers, Arch W. Shaw relaunched it as a subscription mag: System: the Magazine of Business. Eventually, this became profitable enough Walker split System into two magazines: System (about office management), and The Magazine of Business (about big business). Circulation grew! By 1928, McGraw-Hill acquired The Magazine of Business and quickly rebranded it to The Business Week—which you might know today as BusinessWeek (acquired by Bloomberg LP in 2009).
