Can someone please get on the fanfic train for the Uglies series? I need some Shay/Tally, Zane/David, or even Tally/femme Zane in my life. Or can someone pleeeaase point me in the right direction!?!

Listen, I will stan Shay until the day I fucking die. Tally was following in her footsteps from the first book.

Shay was first to go to the Smoke.

Shay found the Crims first. She fed them tales of the Smoke.

Shay founded the Cutters. While Tally and Zane were busy being secretive assholes and dealing with the fallout of Tally's selfish cowardice, Shay clawed her way out of prettiness kicking and screaming, and led others out as well.

Shay was the one who convinced Cable that the Cutters needed more freedom, who gave them the ability to stage their mutinies and escapes.

Shay was the one who forgave Tally for EVERY fuck up, EVERYTHING Tally ever took from her, and supported Tally when she needed it.

Tally was a follower from the first book. She was a selfish brat who only wanted to be like everyone else, who's only claim to heroism is a stupendous amount of luck and a best friend with a heart of gold.

Shay should have been and would have been the hero of the Uglies series, but Tally took that from her too.
