⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Oh, my," she mutters, stopping where she stands along the road in awe of the fledgling boy crossing her path.
Carrying a sleeping infant in the sling hidden amidst her robes and an equally dozy young child in the obuhimo at her back, her speaking tone is calm and as steady as ever.
On her face, which was otherwise a placid mask of expression, her concern and puzzlement is more evident than ever. It isn't often that lone humans wandered past the mountain ridges, and certainly never children. He has the look of a villager, but nothing like the locals. Was he a traveler, at his age?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀"Child, are you lost?" she asks, "You aren't all alone, are you? This forest is not safe to travel on your own."

Though common for Nahvithaam to cross other lands beyond the confines of Teyvat, he did manage to keep a low profile very often but it seems that this winning type of streak, is bound to collapse...
Out of a lighter purple wormhole, does he comes out but only by neck lenght. Eyes not only take in the forested scenery, luck would have it that there is a pretty good sized lake barely steps away from the abyssal dragon.
''......''
Hmm, some water before taking his leave elsewhere, just some more exploring of this world, should be fine.
Extending his serpentine-like neck further to reach the shore at best, Nahvithaam watches as startled fishes swam off. The moment he dove his head in, chugging in a good quantity of water and helpless fishes along with it, that's when crystalline pink eyes notice someone in the vicinity, some kid who thought it wise to go swimming by himself from the looks of it.
He does not say anything but does get his head out from underwater.

The mage's goal was simple to reach the next village by sundown and so far with how peaceful things were at the moment she would have succeeded. Then she noticed the young boy coming into view. Hikari stopped dead in her tracks to watch for a moment just to be sure the boy was okay after all he could just be here to get a moment to himself.
Then she saw the boy slump over and before she knew it she was running over to him.
"Hey are you alright?"
BETTER A GASH ON THE ARM THAN ANYTHING ELSE. It's a relatively minor injury compared to being crushed by the amphibian's powerful tusks, or devoured by one. For an experienced rider, a full-grown tetsucabra wasn't too difficult of a fight. But, she couldn't exactly take the time to dissuade it when she has to keep an eye on the wound this child has.
Adjusting her grip on the boy in front of her, Mari leans into the saddle, him moving with her so that Streak's backwards bound wouldn't be unpleasant for either of them. There's a comfortable distance between themselves at the Tetsucabra now, who, acknowledging its much bigger opponent, has switched onto the defensive. It was simply being territorial, perhaps hungry in the end—the sight of a boy on its turf either made it feel threatened, or seemed like an easy snack. Mari wasn't going to stop and ask.
Either way, with Streak easily avoiding the Tetsucabra's mock charges, and growing further away from the beast, the amphibian monster gets the memo: they weren't here for a fight, and it certainly wasn't going to have to defend its territory today.
The icing on the cake was that the locals knew there was a Tetsucabra roaming around these parts. Either this kid was lost, or had a death wish. The Tetsucabra, staying still but bearing its tusks, opens its jaws to intimidate as Streak vanishes off into the foliage.
They'd run for a while. Rutoh wasn't very far, and the open grasslands of Alcala Valley were certainly safer than these woods. As they reach a clearing within the trees, Mari slows her mount to a halt.
Her grip loosens around his waist, and she leans back to catch her own breath. "Hey . . . you okay?"

"KOHNA!" A young voice calls from past the bushes. Beyond the shrubbery is another small clearing, lined with soft moss and bracken. Pushing past the low hanging foliage, a boy steps among the ferns. His seikret, as gold as the tall grass in late plenty, casually meets him half way. His hands reach for her reins, gently coaxing her to him.
"You mustn't wander like that, girl . . ." The youth is no older than thirteen. He's of average height and a bit scruffy looking, but otherwise well-kept. His posture, once timid, is straight and proud, befitting that of a young apprentice hunter.
He gently scolds his seikret, then finally sidesteps, tilting his head and body to one side to peer past the bird wyvern and spy a figure at the other side of the brush. The sudden inhale that follows is one of surprise, and Nata falls quiet.

and he stands amidst a dark room, hundreds of skulls planted along the wall's shelves — upon hearing the door creak open, the demon slowly turns to face the other, opalescent eyes glimmering in the midst of the shadows.
"…you weren't supposed to come in, my friend."
