Chapter Two is Complete!

Rotten Raccoons is thrilled to announce that our episodic dark fantasy romance, OBSCURA, has released Chapter Two: The Depths now available on itch.io and and on Steam!

There's a marketplace under the mountain where anything can be bought and sold. Visitors wear masks to become faceless strangers. It's home to the unscrupulous, the outcast, and the desperate.

You're one of the desperate.

Strangers with their own secrets and ambitions can show you ways through the market. They'll guide you to your goal, but don't trust them to have your best interests at heart. 

First chapter of each route available in the demo to try a taste.

Choose the protagonist's name, pronouns, and mask.

Four mysterious love interests.

Over 200k words so far (70k in the demo, 130k in early access)

A dark, mature story with many ways to fail.

Some fast facts about the demo:

Covers Arc 1 of the game (so around 2-3 hours)

Comes with all the new features and art for Arc 1 (which is more than what was already available in the previous alpha builds from last year)

Progress and achievements will carry over into the full game (you won't actually get any achievements while playing the demo; however, any achievements you would have gotten will be automatically unlocked once you start up the full game)

Includes a super cool exclusive artwork that will only be available in the demo! You'll be able to download it as a wallpaper once you complete the demo  ٩(◕‿◕｡)۶

Please consider giving it a go! I'm already so nervous and feeling so overshadowed by the thousands of other popular games also participating in the fest LOL My little game feels so tiny in comparison. But I hope it can do well! And bring in some visibility for the game leading into the launch!

Once the full game launches I'll be removing the demo and also removing download links for the OG game on itchio.

Talk about an old almost forgotten fandom..yet I’m always surprised to see Aoba cosplayers at every con I do, we may be few but we’re still here going strong!

Which on of the boy was your favorite? For me it was, still is! definitely Noiz. Not so much on the second game, I loved the aloofness and grumpiness of his character from game 1 and how he slowly learned to open up and *feel*. The rich boy route from game 2 didn’t interest me much unfortunately…
