so no one asked but i'm gonna share bc it fun.
in english class today we had to make a vision board for the new year and it was actually a super cool project.
we had to have images representing what we want to feel, experience, and achieve in the new year. we also had to have some kind of quote that seemed inspiring and then we had to break it down and explain the whole thing.
this was the board i made using images i found online. it's rly pretty and i'm proud of it.
when breaking it down, i wrote this,
My vision board has an overlying theme that resonates with some of my favorite things. I used a dark academia aesthetic to gather images and quotes that eem obscure and nonsensical to anything that could be a goal. However, both the images and quotes have some correlation to my ‘vision’ or goal.
To represent how I want to feel, I used the images in the bottom left. These show friendship, love, security, and reliance. This is one of my visions of 2021. In showing what I want to experience, I used a piano and he bottom center image (aforementioned in the feelings category). The piano is showcasing my want to experience the stories and emotions spoken of in songs. The image with the people is there to also represent experiencing adventure and friendship. For what I want achieve, look to the library, the journal, and (again) the piano. Simply put, they are representing my urge to achieve reading more, writing more, and increasing my musical skill. The quote I used represents three main things over all. “She’s an old soul with young eyes, a vintage heart, and a beautiful mind”, shows looking at things from a fresh perspective (“young eyes”), while maintaining a grounded sense of self (“old soul”), loving things simply (“vintage heart”), and finding beauty in all things (“beautiful mind”). Other images used were used more to fill space and gather the theme."
