i think it’s worth mentioning that the green communicates via song and it is much like a hive mind. all creatures in tune or involved with the green can hear its song and, in turn, sing songs of their own to communicate to one another. you would think it would be overbearing to deal with, but one attunes very quickly when you’re a part of the green.. the green is not unkind, especially to its own. and ivy is it’s mother, it’s incarnated heart. and has, since birth, heard the lulling, it just dampened over time until pamela’s ‘death’ and subsequent rebirth into her true form that she began to hear it louder and more clear. but she recognized it, even from an infant’s hardly formed memory. the influence the green holds is mighty, very much so. and in turn, ivy possesses a certain omniscience that comes from being in tune with all of life. by definition, you could categorize ivy as a goddess and she may even refer to herself as such.
