Thinking about AZ having nightmares because of course he does, but Floette probably does too, doesn't she? She fully died, that probably haunts her a lot. And with him being a fairly light sleeper, AZ probably tries to comfort her when he can, but please imagine AZ waking up to his s/o already awake and gently trying to comfort a ptsd-spooked Floette, even though they can't understand her. I'd love to know how you think he (and floette!) would react to that, if you don't mind!

-Floette is in another place and time during this, so there’s not a lot of input I can give from her, but please know that she loves you and appreciates your comfort. She will curl up, shivering and crying in your hands, nuzzled into your chest like she’s never been so scared in her life. It’s the only time she lets you hold the flower, because she’s in so much distress that she physically can’t anymore.
-AZ would wake up because he hears her heartbreaking little whimpers, kind of blindly shifting around the room to get to her nest. It’s only if you have a light on or after he checks that he realizes she is with you. His chest tightens and he will come to join you both.
-There is a special place in his heart for people like you. Who comfort a little Pokemon in distress even in the middle of the night. It being his Pokemon just kinda earns you a few extra points, really.
-He may offer Floette his hand, and she’ll stay buried against you and cling to his finger with her little hands. It’s one of the few times her size truly shows. She’s so delicate and vulnerable during moments like these.
-It’s moments like this that would lead AZ to marry you, if he hasn’t already.
