Her Room

The clutter was just a part of daily life. It never got too messy, or too neat either. The ordinary windows let in not only the photons which traversed the glass and hit her pillow every morning, but the warmth of old friends. The light that came in her room every morning lit up her pictures, her beanie babies, her science trophies, her computer. That light kept her stubborn and hesitant cat on the floor for another half an hour. It's grey and black fur basked in the glow of that energy. The multi colored post it notes on her calender and wall listed plans with compadres, her parents wishes, important phone numbers, and her AP homework that she would do two days ahead of time. 

The pale blue walls and white curtains made the perfect amount of distortion to the sometimes intense light. They mirrored everything as she did. 

A rustle is seen from the white duvet on the wooden bed. She wakes. The room is too bright for her this morning, and she wakes. She wakes.
