As with all Bark River knives, the EXT-1 comes with a high-quality leather sheath. Something worth noting, though, is that most of their sheaths that have snaps and straps are intended to have their final fit performed by the end user. Right out of the box, the strap may not seem like it will fit across the knife and snap into place. Run the strap under a little warm water, then stretch the strap and snap it closed over the knife. Let it sit this way overnight and you’re good to go.
“Hero Comes To Pen,” The Kingston Daily Standard. August 16, 1919. Page 02. --- French-Canadian Sentenced at Toronto to Two Years for Stabbing. --- ‘I have taken this man’s heroism into account but the lightest sentence I can impose is two years, the executive authorities can then deal with the matter,’ said Judge Coatsworth in the Criminal Court, Toronto, when Romeo Dutrizac, a French-Canadian, was convicted of stabbing Archie Singer in a drunken brawl on May 31st last.
Mr. Harry Ballace, Dutrizac’s foreman at Polson’s shipbuilding yards, gave strong character evidence and told an amazing story of heroism on the part of Dutrizac.
‘We were working with some gas tanks in the hold of a ship when the tanks in the hold caught fire,’ said Mr. Ballace. ‘All the men but Dutrizac and he rushed through the flames and turned off the gas taps with the flames half an inch away. He saved the lives of 30 men and the ship that was about to be launched.’ [AL: Read more about Dutrizac’s conviction here.]

Since tumblr really loves knifes I figured I could share mine. It was a present from my dad.
It’s always in my backpack. The blade is 9 cm (3.5 in), 420 steel and really needs to be sharpened. I use it for wood, meat and vegetables.
the brown leather is used to fasten it to my pants/trousers whenever I’m at camp.
