@shetames : “But no one asked and nobody cares.”
No one asked and nobody cared : a situation all too familiar to him and Glen wonders if he should tell her or would that be only a fuel to the fire. Words take him back to the times of helplesness﹐he - a child with a younger sister by his side﹐trying to find a place to hide in their own house from their father's warth﹐trying to get out of a room they were locked in﹐trying to find something to eat while they were in streets and not be caught and beaten to death by men in alleys. A sad sight now that he looks back on it and the look on woman's face resonated with it only a little : anger stepped out the most from all else he could see in her eyes﹐but with no doubt there was sadness as well. Sadness﹐sorrow﹐yearning to go back where her cherished ones were﹐all hiding behind furrowed brows and red lips pressed together﹐venom coming out of her every moment. No matter how you look at her it is obvious : she does not belong here﹐clothes too tight and revealing﹐hair too wild and eyes stubborn and still flickering. Even in household full of outcasts she stood out. Perhaps with time she will give in﹐not that Glen hoped or wished for it﹐just a guess not more﹐yet something that happened to all inhibitors of this manor﹐and people that were sold out were no discovery either.
A breath and he notices faint smoke flying from his lips : temperature had dropped too fast for the past few days﹐it was time for fireplaces to start devouring wood with flames﹐but that would take some time and something told Oswald﹐ Beast would freeze over before that happens. It is a risk in a sence﹐like aproaching a lion﹐yet still he does it﹐takes off a shawl from his shoulders and carefully drops it over her with few quiet words.
' my words may mean nothing for you﹐maybe you won't believe me at all﹐but . . . there will be people in here that will start to care for you﹐even now﹐even here . '
