On a good day, I’d say he might not be so involved in the deepest intricacies and dramas of twitter stans to know all that’s going on beneath the surface. I might be wrong, but after that LukewarmOmens thread, it seemed that he did stop interacting so much with the same people, to the point that those same people were starting to feel snubbed and say it aloud (imagine the levels of self importance needed for that to happen). 

On a snarky one, I might say that you’re right and he seems to be feeding off them as much as he needs for some reason (as in, yeah those reasons). 

Been on twitter earlier. Some people defo not happy with the outcome of that sheenzoom. Apparently it was a surprise only for those not in the know...the chosen ones knew of course, and I’m told had time to get full make up on and all (haven’t seen any of it so no idea about the make over or anything else really).

Saw on the bird app that SheenCon2020 is a go, with Michael promising to lurk. A bit of advice, my dear Mr. Sheen. DON'T. DON'T BE THAT GUY. Answer a couple questions via tweet- fine. Just don't get on the call or the forum or whatever platform is planned. No amount of stan love would ever be worth the trouble it would cause.

I’ve had a nagging feeling he feels obligated to the *checks notes* 73 members of the sheencon discord who apparently think they’re the whole fandom? So he’s going to entertain less than 100 people. Alrighty. At least the free version of Zoom allows 100 participants so that’s like at LEAST every member of the group chats or Discord. Lucky them. Well, not lucky. They did plan it to serve themselves and get access to Michael after all and he’s entertained them repeatedly so far every time they’ve asked on twitter so why not REALLY cross that line and jump on a live chat, call, or video conference to see and hear the fawning and wailing in real time? He loves the attention and they love getting it. I at least hope those who want to be a part of it are ALLOWED to be a part of it and afforded the opportunity to be on the call, video chat, or discord if he lurks and/or joins but I highly doubt it. We all know how gate-keepy the stans are. Only people they deem worthy enough are allowed to be in the clique and take part in their activities. I’ve said it until I’m blue in the face but that sect of fandom is divided, divisive, and exclusive and does things only to serve themselves. They’re not about the whole fandom, just THEM. Has any advertising or invitation been extended on or to Tumblr? There’s an absolute fuckload of fans here and the GO fandom here is MASSIVE and overtook superwholock as #1. Kind of dumb to NOT advertise or market your “convention” here imo. Has there at LEAST been a post made to the MS tag? That would be a NO. I’ve checked. I have another account that’s not blocked by half the fandom and looked through the tag just to be sure. And 2 days before their “con” isn’t the time to start spamming the tag, either. It’s too late to start covering their tracks now.

michael dropping in on that zoom qna thing seems kinda uh.. questionable(??) to me, his fanbase consists of a large majority of young girls, and having another fan moderating the call feels so strange to me? i might be overthinking this, but if i were doing something like that id want someone else (ie: a third party) to mod it so they could not only actually pay attention to whats happening in chats and not focus on the actor

You would think, right? A 3rd party putting on an online convention would also probably charge to attend BUT be more organized about things and keep everything transparent about limitations on panels (just as having room capacity in halls irl) while also trying to provide opportunities to everyone rather than just a select few. Instead “sheen con” was a con job where Michael Sheen fans were conned by someone who said they’re doing a “convention” just to be on a zoom call with Michael Sheen. *rolls eyes*

Twitter stans fawning over his disheveled hair and mentioning AL and when she'll cut it etc. They dont really see how not forthcoming he is about her do they? She was making her presence obvious in the room, he could have easily asked her to say hello or tease her live about being noisy or something...

But NOPE. She lurked in the room while he threw shade at her.

Definitely gutted at how cliquey everything has gotten. About ready to dip on the fandom, I dunno. Things or people I like shouldn’t make me sad.

Sweet honey chile, it’s BEEN cliquey. I’ve been saying it for months. But I 100000% agree that the things and people you enjoy shouldn’t make you sad or feel excluded or anything but happy. So if you feel you have to leave the fandom, do it. Find something that brings you joy.  Your happiness shouldn’t depend on whether or not someone else ALLOWS you to be.

If people were bummed that they couldn't meet each other, then why the push for a con? Why not just a big zoom call? Watch-along of his movies? Why tag him in everything? I'm all for creative thinking, and I believe having a virtual con sounds fun. But that's not what this was set up to be. It was set up to be a way for a limited # of stans to have "exclusive" access to MS, but now that cat's out of the bag and they have to pretend it was for everybody all along.

One thing i dont understand about this SheenCon thing is; why are there DT themed/centered "events" if it's /Sheen/Con? Why make such a point about it being MS centered if you're just gonna include other actors? Why not just broaden the horizons to GomensCon? These 'fans' are so obsessive over him lmao

Yeah I was gonna raise that question myself about DT being a part of “sheen” con. Goes back to what I was saying about why they haven’t advertised on here when there’s a fuckload of GOmens folks? Makes no sense. If miss Britt wants to elevate herself to head of the GOmens fandom too, sis is going about it all wrong.

Saw the Sheen con thing. It's getting frustrating. He's just letting 20 year old people manipulating him into possibly dangerous water, isn't he? (Not all stans are 20 something, but ahem...) Really hope the focus goes back to his works soon, acting, activism or something.

As long as there’s attention being given to him, he’ll give it back. It’s just a matter of time, planning, and wearing him down until he obliges. But I’m with you, I prefer when things are quiet while he’s doing other things.
