Michael Sheen And The Great Twitter Blockageddon
Since there are a fair share of anons that are all similar in regards to today’s crappening on the bird app, I figured I’d group them in to one HYUUUGEE post so I’m not eating your entire dash answering the same thing 6 times. Under a cut. You know the drill. ;)
SUBMISSION (with the photo): Think you should try telling your partner that Michael (On anon if you don’t mind my dearest ❤️)
ANON #1: It doesn't sit well with me that those "jokes" by AL are on a platform he's not on. Maybe if he had an Instagram where she could tag him and he had had a chance to retaliate, then it'd come off as so much more playful. Or maybe even if he tried taking the piss out of her once in a while publicly. Teasing can be cute and fun but it has to be a two way street. And maybe it is in private. But publicly, it's not and it is a situation that needs to be discussed on a larger scale than just these two
ANON #2: Looks like Michael may be ok with Anna making snarky remarks about him. He just blocked me on Twitter for a tweet that didn't mention him.
ANON #3: Have you seen whats happened on twitter? Michael called out someone on Sky TV for insulting his hair then the stans defended him. However someone replied, if Anna talks crap about his hair then surely its fine and he just replied "I don't care for your tone. Bye." Like wow
ANON #4: Pretty sure MS just blocked someone for replying to a reply about "fighting" on his tweet about the skytv announcer. MS tweet > someone saying they're gonna fight the announcer > person makes comment about anna > MS replies saying he doesn't like their tone bye. Sensitive much? I can't tell if he was even tagged or if it was removed after the block.
ANON #5: Oh yeah, now he's saying it was a "joke" .... after he blocked multiple people...
SPN ANON: Spn anon here - there's enough toxicity in the spn fandom, I don't need this from this side too. I think I might donate my super good items. Shitty, cause I just bought the necklace today...
Well. There you have it, folks. I don’t really have much to add, except for this old adage: “When someone tells you who they really are, believe them.”
Also, memo to the Stans: If Michael was actually “okay” with his hair being made fun of and believed it was just a joke, he wouldn’t have responded the way he did and gone on a middle-of-the-night blocking spree. Others have said this and it’s true: Those comments and put-downs coming from Anna is actually worse than from strangers, because that’s supposed to be someone who cares about him. And like @profileranon said, this may well have been a last straw, because it’s highly unlikely that that comment from the SkyTV announcer alone was enough to set him off. But the announcer is a safer target, so in all likelihood he is projecting onto them, instead of the alternative.
BUT.
That still doesn’t make it okay. Reacting childishly, sniping at people, and encouraging stans to swarm is neither healthy nor mature. It’s shitty and manipulative--maybe unconsciously, on his part, but still massively fucked up--backpedaling, when he could be SO much better than this and just admit that he overreacted and handle it like a grown adult. Which he fucking should, because that is what he is, and if you’re going to tell people to “Be Super Good,” that had better be a hell of a lot more than just lip service.
All in all, it’s downright worrying behavior coming from him, and Michael should probably speak to a professional to deal with whatever is going on instead of taking shit out on Twitter.
