The 2017 Annual Women Economic Forum awards the Founder of the Inter’Actes-MadameDigital with the prestigious "Iconic Leader Creating a Better World for All" award

Mariam Tendou Kamara, Founder of Inter’Actes - MadameDigital and Cofounder of WAFRICA (Women of Africa) received the WEF17 Award of "Iconic Women Creating a Better World for All” the at Annual Women Economic Forum in New Delhi, India. “I am humbled and honored to receive this award and heart fully thank Dr. Harbeen Arora and the Women Economic Forum for this recognition. My personal endeavor is to support processes which give voice to invisible actions changing the game in Africa” said Ms. Kamara.
The annual Women Economic Forum gathered women leaders from 100+ countries at its mega marathon conference in New Delhi spread over 6 days from May 8-13 2017, under the overall bold theme of “Women: Creating, Innovating, Understanding and Driving the Future”. The Forum convened a rich confluence of leaders and achievers, and women entrepreneurs from different countries across the world to empower one another by sharing and speaking across 41 theme verticals and 520+ sessions. The agenda and programme was built over the past year with the committed participation of a widely constituted Advisory Board and Advisory Executive Council (AEC) from across the world, to ensure meaningful dialogues on topics that engage the needs of participants from different fields, cultures and backgrounds.
A member of the WEF 2017 Advisory Executive Council, Ms. Kamara spoke during on the following themes: “Driving the Future through Entrepreneurship and Creativity” and “The power of connection and belonging to inspire inclusion, innovation, and change”. She took the opportunity to speak of the Inter’Actes-MadameDigital project supporting Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Era which was launched in 2016 in Senegal. “Solidarity and collaboration with networks of African women entrepreneurs is huge. Capitalizing on the amazing strengths of these collaborative networks to access funding & training is crucial’ affirmed Ms. Kamara.
“WEF is a supportive platform where women from all walks of life can come and empower their skills, attitudes and networks. This year almost 18 Women Economic Forum events would get organized across the world; with the purpose of giving women worldwide greater voice and visibility.” “The response and affection we receive across these forums is overwhelming.
