I have this friend, she's one of the most genuine human being I've ever met. & I like her a lot. You will like her too. That's why she's now on my blog. She's a natural beauty. She has a big big heart which makes her sensitive to life, but gives her a depth you can only imagine. She will cherish her loved ones to the sky and higher. She has a childlike heart, that gives her a unique perspective on life. A perspective we could all learn from. As you may or may not know, I love hearing people's stories. "There isn't a person you wouldn't love, ones you've heard their story" People's story is what have shaped them to the human they are today. I want my blog to be a place where people can come and share their story. I believe there's healing in sharing your story. I believe we can all learn from each others stories. & that's why I want to share not only mine, but other inspiring people's story. She is Brave!

Wow, I have just recovered from this past weekend at my 5th ladies retreat! (Could be because of the crazy after party on Friday night!) Every year it is an amazing time and I always come back with great stuff I have learned. This time was just the same. Kerry Clarensau was our speaker and she did an amazing job. Jenna (the North campus worship leader) and her team were awesome leading us into worship too.

I had a great time with friends that I have known for a long time while living here and I came home with a bunch of new friends. Being from a large church campus that also has 4 other locations is awesome but can be very hard to really get to know people. This time it was different. I was in charge of the afterparty (which for me was not like work at all) I  love planning and partying so piece of cake. I think the ladies all have a great time too! Some were able to get out of their comfort zone and meet new people, some were just able to relax and chill which for most of of moms, daughters, full time employees, wives, grandmothers it is much needed!

Something that Kerry shared that really touched home for me was in our second session when she said that a brave woman relaxes in His care. When I think of motherhood, and my full time job, all the church functions, all the get togethers and sports games the word relax does not even really come to mind. To be honest I think the only time I am relaxed is when I am in the shower (if i didn't wake up late lol) and here lately in my car ride to work and thats because since Jan 1st i have been listening to my bible on the way in to work. But besides that I am on the go. Stressed, tense, thinking about what needs to be done next, sometimes even worrying. I mean how many of you are like me and lay in bed exhausted from the day and just think about what needs to be done the next day...(okay, so thats just me lol) One thing Kerry said really struck a cord with me. She said “Jesus equates worry with paganism, it griefs His heart.” Wow as I lay in bed worried about things that need to be done, I should relax knowing that God is working behind the scenes. 

Relax: A brave woman relaxes in HIs presence. I want to be a brave woman trusting in the God that loves his daughter so much that he is working all things out for my good.

Side Note: So thankful for new friends!
