conrad had a clever smile on his face as cassie talked, he was enjoying this. "oh come on cassie, don't take it personally. it's just business. you know how it is." he said, his voice faking compassion, like he was sorry for her, when he was anything but. he couldn't help but smirk. "you know i haven't seen you with this much passion since… well you know." conrad licked his lips as he looked at the woman. sure he had seduced her to get info, but she was smoking so it wasn't like he had to fake his interest. "and whose to say i'm doing anything tonight. whose to say…" conrad said as he leaned in and whispered in her ear "i haven't robbed you blind already?" it was a fib, of course, but he enjoyed messing with the woman.

"I know, I know." Lou felt embarrassed to have confessed what she had, but it was killing her. Alex was amazing, and she should have known better than to go and fall for him, but it was no longer in her control. And he deserved better than to go on like this and have something like this hidden from him. "I promise I didn't mean to. It just kinda happened. I'm a damn idiot... and I don't want you thinking there's any expectation from me."
