the honor of hearing her sing

so very closed off and focused you can be absolutely sure she won’t see anybody but you

will always remember even the tiniest detail about you that you tell her or that she picks up on, whether it’s your shoe size, favourite tea blend or the birthday of your parents

allowing her to be soft with you and open up about her thoughts and feelings

Cons:

know-it-all

seems cool and detached most of the time

doesn’t know how to do physical affection

super awkward with compliments

very focused on her studies

won’t notice you trying to flirt with her until you actually propose

absolutely no house wife material

questionable morals

might burn you to cinders if you argue with her

With colorful streamers, flowerheads of daisies, dandelions, sunflowers, and the occasional luscious petal of a rose doth fell’d off Roland’s own hair and skin, a rolled joint of dried elfroot burns at the tender space of his bottom lip, and a half-drained bottle of pure wine dangles loosely from his glitter’d grip.

He’s full of snorting, loose humour and still stinks of clinking gold, crowing triumph, and rank ale from the Tavern. “The entire House,” increds he, dancing at his ankles. The sun is apt to rise in almost an hour, naught but thirty sum, and Roland is still dancing tonight. “Forgive me for the consistent utterance of eternal triumph, Lady Inquisitor, but ‘twere an incredible victory to scale the pot!” And he laughs hard and nearly chokes!

she likes to think that she’s pretty good at reading people. elgara has one of those faces where people who don’t even know her name will approach her and talk about their troubles. it has happened so often that along the way, she’s become much better with understanding head tilts, eyebrow raises, twitches, movement in general. a stranger had once entered the temple of the archeart and she knew just by the way his hands twisted that he had lost someone near and dear to him.

but it doesn’t help now. it’s the sight of another wood elf, she thinks, that makes it so hard for her to actually study the woman’s facial expression and her motions. dark eyes still scan the others features, but anything that there is to be read is lost to elgara, unable to focus as much as she should. her chin rests on her fist, lips twisted in thoughtfulness. ‘ has anyone ever told you that you are very difficult to read ? very mysterious ? ’

  “Naam. They have.”

  Dilara gently put down her cup of tea onto the low table the two woman had settled down at. It was nothing special - a herbal blend that was advertised to be absolutely unique while tasting just the same as those found within a dozen other tea houses around the quarter. Still, it would serve its purpose. The warmth of the drink already started to loosen her muscles and calm her nerves at least a little.

  Her gaze fell upon the wood elf sitting across from her, and briefly she wondered just why she had approached this complete stranger in the middle of the market place today. An unprompted notion of solidarity? Of home sickness, perhaps? Dilara had not seen her family in months.

  “But instead of trying to read me, you could just pose the questions that you have.”, she said, not in an unfriendly manner. “...Your tea is getting cold.”

The mutilated Witcher named Eskel nodded to the intriguing elf woman respectfully. His cat eyes glanced about the interior of the keep’s main hall for a moment. To the others of her Inquisition within. Many of them staring at him and their Inquisitor, murmuring among themselves. With his senses, he heard it all. The organization was rapidly expanding, he had heard the stories on the road... and seen a good deal of the castle already. Inquired about the Inquisition and it’s charismatic leader. 

He still didn’t understand why a political entity was contacting one of the few remaining Witchers of a thoroughly non political guild. But the nature of the letter, and the one who sent it, had interested him enough to depart Kaer Morhen, leave it in Lambert and Keira’s hands, and go back on the Path again. Now that he was here, he was even more curious... but also more weary. He looked back to the lady carefully, and his deep, steady voice spoke up again. Arms folding comfortably over his chest.

“I have traveled some way from Kaer Morhen to Skyhold. Your letter gave few details, but seemed serious enough to heed. Why have you summoned me? Surely you already have the manpower and resources to remove any monsters that might dwell in the area.”
