Sheleth plants her elbow atop her chair’s armrest, crosses her thin legs, and smiles ruefully. “It was a friend of mine back when I was pretty new to the Priory, Gehar Halftooth. He was insistent it was purely physical, but we both knew that was a crock.” She rolls her eyes. “I got tired of it after a while and called his bluff.” She delivers a pithy summary with a shrug: “He quit bothering me.”

Which of your character's has a love life that you find absolutely splendid and why? Which has a terrible one and why?

Right now, Ihana’s love life is a warm dream. There’s plenty of affection, attention, and understanding. (And gifts.) She’s perfectly smitten and has high hopes for the future, where I anticipate she’s going to need to learn to be more open and communicative about things she’s been taught to sweep under the rug.

I wouldn’t call Sheleth’s love life terrible. It’s been some time since her last (and so far only) serious relationship ended. She knows she doesn’t need to find love, but she really, really wants to, and has had very little luck. At present she’s feeling a bit lonely and uncertain about her place in the world.
