オープンできそうだよ！/Shell be right (English to Follow) 大規模な改装工事も終わりに近づいてきました。 開店までにはまだ細かい作業が残っていますが、来店される方のほとんどが「まだまだだね」から「もうすぐだね」という反応に変わってきました。 当初は、この緑色の部分からドアも含めてショップ全体を塗装する予定でした。でも、せっかく作ったドアなのに、この美しいタモを同じ色にしてしまうのはもったいないと思いました。 そこで、このままにしておいてみたのですが、これがよかったですね。 来週は、メニューの最終決定とショップのドレスアップに専念します。 最後の塗装作業は、「Pies & Coffee」の看板の下にある小さなコンクリートの四角い部分です。 今は、驚くようなことは何もありませんが、近々、この壁にある最も興味深いものは、中で何が食べられるかを知らせるものではなくなるでしょう...。 We’re getting close to finishing the main renovation work. There’s still a few small jobs to do before we open, but the reaction from most who come by now has changed from “still quite a bit to do, huh!” to “almost ready!” The original idea was to paint the entire shop from this green, including the door. But because so much work went into making this door it seemed like such a shame to paint this beautiful Japanese Ash the same colour. So we tried leaving it to see how it looked - and I’m glad we did. This coming week will be all about finalizing the menu and dressing up the shop. The last painting job is the small concrete squares under the ‘Pies & Coffee’ sign.
