    “Ah, fuck---!”

Corrupted Gems were all but a typical part of her life. Those beasts populated the entire Earth, it seemed, or at very least there was an abundance of them in this area. Amber fought them whenever one attacked, and usually she could fight them off without coming away too badly injured.

This time, though, one had gotten its fangs into her, deep into her shoulder. After a retaliation strike to its neck before it had the chance to let go, she had managed to defeat the beast--- but the damage was already down.

She groaned, hand clutching at her shoulder. Some fluid of a tangerine tint was flowing out already, staining her hand, her skin. And she didn’t dare retreat to a damaged gem to try and regenerate...

This was bad.
