My aunt > everyone else
A while ago my grandmother and I had this conversation about abortions. It became an extremely heated conversation. The both of us had very different points of view on the topic. She was pro I was con.
The conversation started after I brought up a political topic. I mentioned a pamphlet I got in the mail about this political party who supposedly is all for abortions, included in this pamphlet was picture of a 7 month old fetus aborted. It was the most disturbing thing I’ve seen.
I told my grandmother how I never was for abortions, I was raised to believe that they are wrong and that, that is an innocent life being taken. Once that sperm fertilizes that egg and that fetus starts growing, and it has a heart beat, that fetus… That baby is a life. A life which should not be take.
Yes there are circumstances like rape.. Where you want to get rid of that child. That is understandable… But that is a life you are taking.
That is murder.
My grandmother said but what if that 7 month old fetus is known to have a birth defect… You have to think about the parents.. The parents would have to care for that baby their entire life. It’s a lot of time and money going into a child that may never be able to do anything in there life. Think about that she said to me. She said it’s not fair to the parents to have to go through life looking at their child as something that need fixing.
I closed the conversation saying, “God has put everyone on earth for a reason. Everyone on this planet has a purpose they must serve. A life is a life, it’s still murder to kill an unborn child”

Right after this, Star started crying out of happiness. It doesn't matter to her how many times we go, what we do or do not buy, she appreciates the fact we are there in that moment together.
