“ you don’t need to hover.  i’m alright. ”    what a blatant, stupid lie.  sirius turns over in the bed, facing the window  —  facing away from james  —  all the while squeezing his eyes shut, clutching the covers fiercely to his chest with his good, uninjured hand and praying that james won’t listen;  that he’ll stay.  mrs. potter pops in every so often to check on him  —  to make sure the potions and spells are taking their healing effects properly  —  but it’s prongs he really wants, no matter what he says.  please.  this time, please know me well enough to know that i’m lying.

. ﾟ * ｡ ･           it’s been a long time since dawn has liked christmas.  in fact,  she isn’t sure she ever really liked it ---- her childhood christmases were littered with the memories of trying to hold the stitches  of a dysfunctional family together and her adult christmases were spent trying to respectfully forget witnessing her mother’s death.  it’s a bit needless to say that she hasn’t experienced the holiday spirit in a while.

but she can muster some optimism up for the team’s sake.   (  easier to do that than explain why she had been avoiding the holidays like the plague up until a few weeks ago  )   and besides,  dawn does love decorating,  and it would be absolutely sacrilegious to forget to hang mistletoe ----------- she just happens to do so when she knows dick is watching.  

so when she’s pulled beneath it later that night,  she allows for faux shock to paint her expression.   “ fancy meeting you here, ”   comes a lighthearted laugh as her hands are placed on his chest.   “ and here i thought i was being subtle putting this up. ”

The water pans out, forming what looks like a surfboard of sorts as it hovers right above the ground beneath them. (9) Have the types of characters you play changed over the years?

Oh, yeah. I went from playing highschool bad bitches on proboards. My first experience on tumblr was a group Glee Next Gen, and then setting up my own.

Allison Argent is the first canon muse and independent muse I had. I wrote a lot for Teen Wolf muses back then because it was a main fandom and it was very easy for me. There was an easy appreciation for those characters. It’s changed to embracing what my interest—I write a lot about love, and about fighting through life (like superhero / mutant analogies) and about what happens when people who are very different meet and can’t survive that while staying the same. 

A lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of what I write now is not about what I want in life for myself. It’s just what interest me in terms of thinking about muses in specific headspaces. I used to write muses that reflected who I want to be. Now I write muses that i’m interested in, and they tend to reflect parts of me—they can embody both what I agree with and what I don’t. 

(12) What’s the weirdest thing that has ever inspired you to make or pick up a muse?

One hundred percent never intended to give Allison Argent a male version at all. Picked it up randomly because of a meme and then he transitioned into his own character and it’s been the single oddest, amazing change I’ve ever seen over years of writing.

      ‘  richard.  ’ his voice is crisp and smooth, the usual coolness coating his tone. the real bruce wayne was a far cry from the playboy persona that he put on so well, though that was for a reason. one he didn’t disclose to many people. he’s not hateful towards the boy standing in the living room, despite just giving him a singular glance. in fact, the opposite and the former robin could probably tell. a brow arches upwards, as eyes scour the documents in his hands. ‘  i assume alfred let you in?  ’

          there is no reproach in his voice, at least none that he actually means. sirius is genuinely concernd, if only for the fact that he cannot be there to assist him. he knows it would be the same with roles reversed, maybe sirius would be even bolder. it’s his style to meet danger halfway. but james? he doesn’t want him to go this way, especially when it’s without him. but he has to trust.

          his brow lies in furrows still, wary. it is a bold plan, and the risks are high. ( such are the risk of living, right? ) but there are no alternatives, it is a matter of life and death.

          “ i am just… ” the word almost doesn’t come out; saying it makes it real. “ … concerned. that’s all. ”
