Something that drives me crazy is that no matter which outcome, QiJiu cannot exist as long as Liu Qingge is still alive. And even if there is not Liu Qingge, it still wouldn't happen.
Ofc in the Bingmei-verse, Shen Jiu is long gone and Shen Qingqiu is with Luo Binghe. But after having (finally) read the extras, it's very obvious to me that Shen Jiu had feelings for Liu Qingge (though he was a tsundere to the very end).
In a world if SQQ never transmigrated and SJ was able to heal properly and open up, I fully believe that he would have ended up with LQG which BREAKS me because the QiJiu relationship is just such a tragic aspect of SVSSS. And even if in that AU Liu Qingge is dead/not present/SJ never liked him, I think that SJ could just never bring himself to reciprocate YQY's feelings, at most he would just love him as an older brother.
Of course this is all assuming that QiJiu's past happened as it was written in svsss, if it was an AU where YQY returned early, or SJ was able to heal quickly, then it would be a different outcome.
But if we just assumed that the "story" starts around the time period when SQQ transmigrated, where the past lore has already happened, in every universe no matter if it's SQQ or SJ, YQY has to watch the person who he loves, love someone else.
And knowing YQY, he would just suffer silently while being wholeheartedly happy for SJ because he will always blame himself for what happened in the past.
And I would like to say its okay, at the end of the day I can just find a fic to indulge myself but sometimes I think about an AU where SJ transmigrates into SY’s life and he meets a parallel YQY, but that would be unfair to both Liu Qingge and to YQY who are still in PIDW. And if he meets a parallel LQG it's just the same thing. It's a double edged sword, everything just hurts man. honestly, maybe liushenyue is the way to go QQ
