Examining the Ghosts in Sheperdstown
New record shop opens in Sheperdstown, WV
SHEPERDSTOWN, WEST VIRGINIA -- A grand opening of a new record store off West German Street, Admiral Analogs Audio Assortment, took place Saturday, May 3.
The store is owned and operated by Hagerstown native Andrew Barton. Barton will sell a variety of entertainment from records, cds, cassettes, vhs, Blu-ray, video games, stereo equipment, turntables, shirts and posters.
"Opening this record store has been a lifelong dream of mine for about 20 years," Barton said. "I did a lot of day dreaming, planning, procrastinating, and making excuses and now the timing has added up to the right time in my life." Barton continued.

Little House, Shepherdstown, WV
A super-sized doll's house, sitting in the middle of this little town. It's utterly adorable, but it wasn't open when I passed, so I took some pictures through the ground floor windows. It's dated to 1929. The plaque beside it says it was built as part of a one-acre mini-farm for Shepherd University students to run, but other sources (like the Visitor's Center) say it was built so children could be observed in a "laboratory setting".
