IM YOUR FATHER! I CAN GROUND YOU!
"You'll have to consult Mother about that."

"You can't ground me."
SON GET EXCITED! *Grabs your shoulders and shakes*
"You sound like you're implying something. But no, I will not get 'excited'."
YOU'RE NOT MY SON! MY SON IS EXCITED! AND EMOTIONAL! YOU LACK BOTH! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY SON?!
"...? Pardon?"
IVE BEEN ALRIGHT SON WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
"I've been studying, what else? And missions tend to get in the way."
SON I MISS YOU
"I missed you too, I suppose. How have you been these past few...days?"
Revenir || Cid and Selphie
It wasn't a long walk from the Garden to his airship, which was thankfully still hovering nearby. She'd decided to let Boko rest for a while -- he'd done enough running to grant him a nice vacation. Looking at the huge ship, her heart plummeted, jostling through her body until it clunked into her feet. She'd been away for so long, without any warning... What had he been thinking this whole time? Part of her thought that he probably just brushed it off and continued working on his airship like nothing happened -- he wasn't an easy man to faze -- but the other part wondered if... and guiltily hoped that he'd missed her. That he'd gone looking for her. She knew she didn't deserve that, and it was disgustingly selfish to want but...
Shaking her head, she closed her eyes tightly, steeling herself over. She would act normal. It was a mantra in her head, one that had always been ingrained in her subconscious but so recently had fled. Now she had to consciously summon it and repeat it to even function. She was nowhere near healed, but she had to come back. She... wanted to come back.
The small brunette climbed up and inside the ship, knowing her way back to the captain's cabin. Standing in front of the door, she took a deep breath, then exhaled it slowly, before raising a fist and knocking ever so gently.
