- So ... you are a policeman. You knew I would have find out the truth eventually, Magnus. - I did ... but I guess it was worth it.
Sherlander AU | When Magnus has accepted a case involving illegal arms trafficking in the United Kingdom by a Swedish gang he did not expect to come face to face with the nation's most dangerous criminal: James Moriarty. After managing to get under cover in his deadly web, Magnus finds himself having to consider the experience as one of the most interesting of his life. But he is aware that it will not last forever, because it will not take long before Jim will find out the truth about him.
Sherlander (Molly x Magnus )
OMG...why haven't I thought of it before ? Imagining Sir Kenneth, Tom Hiddleston , Benedict Cumberbatch and Louise Brealey together is making my brain very happy... I need more Molly x Magnus...we need a new name for these two together... wonderful!
♔// I just reallllllly want to do a crossover rp with Wallander and Sherlock, but every Wallander rp blog I find is for Magnus and there isn't a single Kurt Wallander even though he's the main detective and character of the show/ books OTL. I think I'm the only person I know that could play him...just like I'm the only one who can write cases but I am the one who wants to solve them. RP LIFE IS HARD.
i apologize in advance for this ficlet.
I've finally gotten my shit together and written a Magnus/Molly ficlet. It's complete crap, but it's midnight here and I'm too lazy to fix it. Maybe I'll write something better when i don't have 10 WIPs, but for now...
Molly stands over the corpse on the table, getting ready to set to work. She looks at the woman’s kind face, so pale now, and almost feels a pang of sadness. She doesn’t usually feel for her “patients,” because it would make her work impossible if she did. Molly tries to care about the living ones more; wears her heart on her sleeve to make up for the hardness she has to have at work. For just a moment, Molly’s imagining this woman’s life; her family, her friends, maybe even a boyfriend, all missing her, wondering why she died. Molly stuffs the feelings back inside, no use feeling bad, just give them answers. She begins working, carefully executing her duties.
By the time she’s done, she knows a lot more. She can tell Sherlock the details, and he will find the killer, because that’s what he does. He solves mysteries. Fleetingly, Molly remembers the childish crush she had on him, the time she spent trying to get him to notice her. No one notices her. Conversation isn’t really her area, and dating isn’t either. Moriarty remains a smudge in Molly’s memories. There haven’t been any others since him – her flat remains empty save her and the cat, silent when she comes home besides the cat’s hungry mews. It’s a little lonely, but Molly doesn’t mind. Not too much.
She’s putting the woman’s body back into its spot when she gives the woman’s face one last look. It’s sad, she thinks, that she’ll never know this woman. She probably wouldn’t have, anyway, but something about it bothers her. She wonders if anyone’s missed her yet, if anyone’s realized the flat swarmed with police lights last night was their daughter’s, friend’s, girlfriend’s. Molly catches herself wondering what it would be like if their roles were reversed; if she were on this slab and this woman was doing her job like it was a normal day. She has to swallow the thoughts quickly – she’s the girl who doesn’t matter, and it’s hard enough to ignore that every day.
Molly shuts the door to the woman’s slot. Done. Soon this woman will be another of Holmes’ solved mysteries, another post on John’s blog. Molly’s work is done. Molly smiles a tiny smile – she’s done her work well. About to check back upstairs in the lab, Molly hears a soft voice.
“Hello? Are you Molly Hooper? Lestrade’s sent me.”
She looks up to find the owner of the deep timbre. She finds a man with soft-looking reddish curls and a kind face. Molly smiles awkwardly, feeling her cheeks flush red. “Y-yes, I’m Molly. Um, w-who are you?” she stutters, suddenly nervous.
“I’m Magnus. Wallander’s assistant?”
“I’m sorry – who’s Wallander? Erm, I haven’t heard of him, or you for that matter, and, well, are you here for a case?” she blunders, rambling.
The man – Magnus – only gives a lighthearted laugh. “Wallander said Sherlock was like that. He’s an old friend of Lestrade’s, called down to help out Holmes on a case. Lestrade called him, that is, Sherlock refuses help unless it’s from John, and, apparently, you.”
“Oh! Yes, you said something about Lestrade wanting me. I don’t know what it could be for, I’m just the mortician.” Her cheeks are flaming now, just being in the presence of such a handsome man.
“I’ve not a clue, Molly.” She shivers a little at hearing him speak her name – that’s embarrassing. Oblivious, Magnus continues, “Usually I’m just in charge of files. Copies and the like. It’s not a bad job. You’ve certainly got an interesting one, down here. And Sherlock is definitely a character, it must be great working with him…” Magnus trails off. “I’m getting off-topic. Let me walk you back up, I’m sure Wallander’s got a job for me up there too.”
Shyly, and somewhat awkwardly, Molly follows Magnus. They fall into step as Magnus continues to speak. Molly listens intently, occasionally squeaking out a response. Her voice betrays her, fleeing from her throat when he catches her eye. God, Molly, you’re an eleven-year-old. Magnus doesn’t seem to mind, keeping up his chatter until they reach the lab.
Lestrade’s salt-and-pepper hair is matched by another man’s. Magnus gives a nod in his direction, “Wallander, that is.” Molly raises her hand in a sort of hello wave. Sherlock’s bent over a microscope, John at his side. Lestrade offers Molly a smile.
“Kurt, this is Molly Hooper, our mortician. I see you’ve met Magnus, Molly, this is Kurt Wallander, another detective.”
Wallander greets her, “Hullo. Magnus, you think you could grab me those files from before?”
Magnus shoots Molly and i-told-you-so look, and her stomach explodes in butterflies. He places his hand on her shoulder, making her insides flip. “See you soon, Molly Hooper. I’ve got files to attend to.” Molly manages a choked “bye.” She certainly hopes this mystery won’t be an easy one to solve. She could get used to seeing Magnus around.
So I actually did it!
I actually wrote a Sherlander ficlet with Magnus/Molly as the pairing. It's sort of short, but I've only seen the first episode of Wallander. Once I've seen more and have a better handle on Magnus as a character, I might write a much longer story. This was really fun and I adore the crossover, plus I'm really proud of this, considering that not too much time went into writing it. So here it is! Enjoy everyone.
