In that picture of watson where people were talking about it he was wearing the holmes tartan scarf, look at the fog and the picture that's kinda inside watson. Right next to the curvy bit of watson's lapel, right over his heart, there's a shape in the fog that i seriously think looks like holmes from like the shoulders up wearing the deerstalker and facing forwards. Am i delusional?

You are not delusional, nonny–others have been discussing the same thing.

I think it’s possible, however, that it could just be matrixing, that we see a face in the fog because our brains try to make complicated patterns into something more familiar. But at the same time, these are the same people who photoshopped John inside of a picture of Sherlock, so I wouldn’t necessarily put it past them…

Hello there! Which app are you referring to? The Network app, or am I missing something?

There’s a new iPhone and Android app specifically for the special! It’s nothing spectacular, but if you have an Android device I believe some of the wallpapers are animated (I can’t believe Apple hasn’t figured this out yet, grumbles). What IS spectacular is that there are hearts EVERYWHERE in these wallpapers. This app is an OFFICIAL BBC Licensed product. Meaning it had to go through many people before launching. It’s so beautiful.

The app, aside from the wallpapers, has a few videos, some articles, and a “cinema finder” on it, none of which work for me because my phone is so old. I just wanted the wallpapers. :D

I'm just glad I happened across the post on your blog, bcz I'd never have loaded the wallpaper otherwise (snowflaky still of 221B doorknocker vs A Study in Twink? I'd've stuck w/ Twink!) Now I'll be checking all of 'em out for lovely li'l Easter Egg/Christmas Prezzies. And, yeah, I know. At least folks' blindness to Johnlock is making me feel better about how no one I know can understand where I get Boy Gets Boy from the playing out of due South. Well, maybe not feel better, per se. LOL, no worries! I try to stay on top of all the Johnlocky news, so I’m happy you found it through my blog!! I was praying it would animate on my iPhone, but no. *sighs*

Oh well, at least we’ll have canon Johnlock soon.

Mm. Having installed the inverted snowflake wallpaper, I now notice that some are not so much inverted as half-inverted, though those are rather more difficult to discern unless one looks quite carefully. (Though, both are shown quite noticeably on the sussexbound pink-outline capture post...:) So, yeah, softly, softly is getting bolder, bolder. Boulder, boulder, anyone? -Mat

Nice!!! The animated BG’s don’t work on my iPhone (boo), and the pic used for the static background is the “preview” image with the big giant circular snowflakes. I’m counting on y’all to keep me updated on the heart situation, LOL!! :D

Yeah, I think “softly softly” died when Sherlock’s heart broke in TSo3. It’s more like BULLHORN, BULLHORN, but people STILL DON’T SEE IT (like, every single person I know in real life *groans*).
