Portrait doodle Dr Watson based on my interpretation from last year.

I finished Crimes & Punishment and decided to replay the Awakened remake which has sparked my interest in doodling more of my AU testlapunk Sherlock Holme concept. Since Dr.Watson is always the sharpshooter, I'll probably give him a monocle scope or something and other sci-fi prosthetics due to his war injury.

Little test (from 2024) for a dark reimagining of Sherlock Holmes in a retro-futurist settings. A dystopian universe where electric sheep do not dreams, desire rewires the mind, and corruption is riveted to the bones. Not until two sparks shatter it all.

NOTE This is really not a final idea but a pitch & to gives a general idea for the vibe of the city ruled by Moriarty. I still have a lot of vis dev to do as it is visually too steampunk & artdeco looking and not enough construct/blocky & grunge. However the claustrophobic verticality should be a fun way to re-explore some older projects that had similar aesthetics.

With my updated artistic journey I also want to add more cubism or brutalist look that creates a Noir genre mixed with the Victorian theme. For now, when I have more time, I will be recreating certain scenes from the series and updating my character design sheet.

Still thinking of doing a Teslapunk-Noir-Detective story of Sherlock Holmes following the event of his "death".

Dr Watson would be more akin to a cyber-medical engineer, having himself some prosthetic enhancement and being a really good sharpshooter. While I'm not so sure what I would do for Holmes. I have a few ideas but it depends which direction to go.

Hey folks! Thank you so much for all the likes and many follows from the recent Holmes fanart!

Although it is very adjacent thematically to my gothic art, this isn't my usual monstrous subject matter to draw and I really appreciate all the positive tag replies!

I am really thrilled about continuing the Granada's interpretation & the retro-futurist dark reimagining, however I'll be casually working on it. Which is why I dedicated a blog for the environment & characters vis dev but I'm not going to post there until I have more substantial & cohesive ideas on papers first.
