✜ – asuka shoots her a glare, though it’ll never have its intended effect when she’s found refuge on a chair. and before anyone gets on her case: she’s not cowering from FEAR, it’s from disgust. ❝ i don’t control the weather ! ❞ is her wonderful excuse. ❝ you’re only being like this because you don’t want to kill the bug. ❞

Although it had been 20 years, she still recognized the other woman from their meeting on Halloween. She had dressed up as Jacob then, and Miss Moriarty had been... a spider? And after that, they had stolen a car together. Was she truly remembering this correctly?

Languid has the evening been in such circumstances as these. Partners splitting their steps in order to pursue those of familiar faces they have spotted across the ballroom, an occasional two wandering off to somewhere more secretive as if they were being discreet. Ah, typical to believe that many thought it was but a night of leisure; that whilst they were impaired of abilities that more than merely one might be lurking from the shadows, observing their deepest means and mannerisms for later use.
One akin to the very woman whom now makes her way to take a seat, the soles of her feet aching for a brief relief from remaining within glass formed heels. Digits lace themselves over her lap as she reclines back from smoothing her dress fittingly. ❝ Surprising, ❞ she speaks, sudden toward the woman of beauty and an air of sophistication beside her, blonde tresses unfortunately covering her face from view much like those of her own, charcoal strands hanging over her shoulder.
❝ ... how your date isn’t here to keep you company, that is. ❞
