Sherlock Season 4 Episode 1 *Sighs*

Let's discuss the last 20 minutes of "The Six Thatchers", shall we? (Because if I talked about the whole episode that would be hella long and it's 3 in the morning.) Yes? Okay. First of all, I totally called that Mrs. Secretary(Vivian something idk) was gonna pull that trigger and end up killing some one, although I had hoped not to be right. I knew that someone was going to end up taking the bullet for the other and I realized who the moment Sherlock tried to stall for time and Mary kept telling him to stop. She was always going to take that bullet for him, not just because he'd taken one for her, FROM her but because she knew how this would work. If she let Sherlock die, John... well John wouldn't be John anymore. Because as much as people say her husband saved Sherlock, Mary knew it was just as much the case the other way. And see, John's been reliant on Sherlock for longer. She hoped to be able to live a normal life, but Mary was practical not stupid. Sumarah was always about her, the life she lived before Baker street and John and Sherlock and Rosie, was always going to be cut short by something from her life before. John would be hurt yes, John would be in a dark place for a while yes, and yes Rosie was going to have to grow up without her mother, but both of them would have Sherlock. Sherlock who was John's rock and a vital part of the Watson family. This is further proved by her post-mortem case assignment for Sherlock, because if anyone could save John Watson, from anything, it would be him. Nevertheless, she still warned Sherlock to stop- because she wasn't going to just die if she could help it, not until that bullet lodged itself in her chest. So John blamed Sherlock, Sherlock who had died a lot inside already as soon as he realized where that bullet had landed and who died even more upon John's reproach. Sherlock stepped back and away and just stared because what else could he do, but MYCROFT. They and we had just lost Mary and yeah I only grieved momentarily, but that was because I already had a feeling and had been readying myself for a while, STILL. Something within me felt compelled to look at Mycroft as soon as the camera panned out. Mycroft Holmes, who looked at his brother and hated(although he would never admit it, not even to Mummy) that he had to suffer this way, hated that he would blame himself because that was what Sherly did, but who was also relieved. Because at least it wasn't his baby brother dead on the floor. You cannot tell me otherwise that that was what was going through his head when he looked at Sherlock.
