Why did no one tell me Arthur Conan Doyle had a brother (edit in law) who wrote his own version of Holmes and Watson called ‘Raffles and Bunny’ who were gentlemen thieves who played cricket and were more queer. It was second most favourite character of that time after holmes

Hornung explained in an interview with Tit-Bits in 1909

Art study of J.C. Leyendecker's Welcome Home with Mrs Hudson and Dr Watson.

This was the first Holmes Leyendecker study I did, before my study of Consolation and it was fun to dry and figure out what to use and how to use it to get close to replicating his style in digital form.
