John inhales nervously. “Well, Sherlock, I…I was wondering lately, I mean we have always been close, and I know you said you were married to your work, but I was wondering lately if you would be interested in something more.”
John’s last words come out in a rush and before Sherlock can open his mouth to answer, he continues. “The truth is, Sherlock, I love you.”
Sherlock is suddenly transported to his mind palace, shocked by John’s words. John could not really mean that. Sherlock is well aware that no one can love him; he had been reminded of that fact many times during his lifetime. He walks down the hallway in his mind palace that leads to a room with a tightly shut door containing memories about himself and ‘Love.’
Since this was submitted to us with the mention of it being the author’s first fanfic, I’m going to be doing something a little bit different than usual. Instead of this being a traditional review, as both Misha and I have posted before, this will be more of a critique. I know when I first started out with writing fanfics, I would have greatly loved proper critiques so I could improve, so that’s my aim today. :)
Therefore, this post will contain spoilers for this story. So, if you want to read the story, I suggest doing so first. So, without further ado, here we go! (The actual critique will be under a cut since I got a bit wordy, so the links will be before the cut, for anyone who wants to easily get to it!)

You Are More Loved Than You Know by futurelondoner
First off, I’d like to mention the overall idea. I haven’t really seen the mind palace being used in this situation before, and I really enjoyed that! Sherlock’s mind palace is, in my opinion, one of the many interesting things about him that people simply don’t write enough. Sherlock is a man of careful thought processing and organisation, despite being somewhat chaotic, and the way he categorises things inside his palace is very interesting. This is something that I would have likely expanded on in this fanfic, personally. Not just the flashbacks, but his actual journey through the mind palace, perhaps adding some of his reflections on his experiences at each age. That would have been an interesting way to give more insight into his characterisation here, since it felt that he was just a little out of character. Not too much, mind you, but enough to notice.
Sherlock seemed just a small bit overly emotional, at least outwards, than how he is normally portrayed. Displays of emotion likely wouldn’t come easily to him, no matter the person he’s interacting with. So, I think that that could have used a little bit of work. I did, however, much enjoy his internal conflicts and thoughts regarding said emotions. Those seemed much more in character to me. He had somewhat of a consistent inner monologue that subtly changed and allowed him to progress with the plot, up until his interactions with John. It was really sweet and cute, if a bit fast, but I didn’t really mind that at all.
Overall, it was a nice read, and a certainly wonderful fanfic for your first one! I do hope you continue writing. You seem to have so many ideas, love! Very creative ones at that! Looking forward to what you bring to the internet in the future. :D
Hello lovely! I never stray far from your blog, it's just a beautiful, beautiful thing. I was wondering if you had any good jealous!john recs? I've read so many where Sherlock is jealous but not nearly enough of John. Double points if Victor Trevor makes an appearance :)
Thanks so much love! That’s very sweet of you to say. Jealous!John is a wonderful thing… let me see what I can do.

Resistivity and Relative Charge (This is the third part of the Conductivity series. Although only this part features Jealous!John and Victor Trevor, I highly recommend the entire thing. It's absolutely brilliant. The only reason I haven't recced it yet is because it's a WIP, which I normally don't read).
Please be warned that several of these are MATURE READERS for smut. Read the warnings, please, as some of these also contain things like rape/non-con and other triggers.
“You should try it,” he said, afterwards. Sherlock rubbed his fingers together. They felt odd, now, having been inside another person for so long. He thought of Victor, mindlessly begging.
“I don’t think so,” he said.

So I tried my hand at omegaverse! Finally!
I intended fluff and then there was angst, and porn, and more porn, and basically the WIP doc was titled 'angst/fisting' and that's really all you need to know.
Sherlock remembers a time before Moriarty. It seemed to go on forever. It was over all too quickly.
Sherlock finds an ally in death and begins the slow process of dismantling Moriarty's network, not knowing if he'll ever be able to return home. Meanwhile, back in London, John and Lestrade mourn, remember, and move on.
Notes: notluvulongtime made two lovely photosets for this fic that can be found here and here (both are non-spoilery) and thepalefool drew a fantastic Victor Trevor for me. Many, many thanks to both of you.
Hey :) Here a little gift for you - simply because you are wonderful. :D Your Victor Trevor. (I tried to draw Karl Urban as Victor because you said it is your headcanon Victor. I am not actually good at portrays but I hope you like it nevertheless, my dear :D)
AHHH YOU GUYS! LOOK HOW AMAZING THIS IS.
This is so lovely, palefool. Thank you so, so much. I love it.

I don't like to post WiPs on here, but as this is the Fic of Doom that has consumed me for the past seven months or so, it seems only appropriate that it get some kind of announcement. The first three chapters are up; the rest will follow soon-ish. I probably won't post anything about it on here again until it's posted in full, but we'll see.
As ever, I've utterly failed at cross-posting fic here. I think I last left off with the end of WC, so here's the most recent stuff:
Sherlock
"Beyond the Stars" - Sherlock/Lestrade, John, Ensemble
Forty years ago, humanity left behind a dying Earth and fled to the stars. But life in space is fraught with danger, and some of it is found inside the very walls that are supposed to keep them safe.
