Sherrinford is, apparently, for sale:
Mike Conner hopes the island's next owner will make the most of it to bring more tourists to Wales.

Wanted to work on a proper own design for dear ol' Holmes for a while so here we finally go with that one x3
Honestly, apart from the hair and him being a bit more disheveled he's actually not that far away from the Sherlock Holmes we encounter in the books. I especially wanted to assure the eyes fit Doyles description. He talks about piercing eyes, later also grey eyes.
In the meantime in terms of the more sloppy hair and bad shaving I confess I got highly influenced by RDJ's depiction. While nobody in my eyes can stomp Ian Richardson from the throne of the most booktrue Holmes, I must say I really love RDJ's approach of a Holmes who doesn't give much of a shit about social rules while giving the character's obvious neurodiversity more room…..okay and the Boswell-fanservice….aaaalright the fact that I'm idolising RDJ himself a TINY bit might also be reason why I adore his Holmes XD
Although to be fair I think also some nuances of Henry Cavill slipped into my version I didn't quite intend I guess :P
Ah welp, in any case, I finally have my own design with which I am satisfied. Was a jaring way to here from that cringy bishi-version I did of the good man back in my teens XDDD

Headcanon time. I think Mycroft counts on that there is a possibility that he will end up in Sherrinford should his mind ever deteriorate in some way. His brain is too dangerous to unleash upon the world if he loses control of it.
I think he also fears that the drugs will ruin Sherlock's brain so he needs to be sent there. He knows that this would kill him, because he's like a wild animal that should not be caged.
Maybe Uncle Rudy had to go there before them. Maybe he is still there?
Hello Sherrinford :) how’s it going today?
If you want to know about the state of Sherrinford, you have to ask @atamh.
In a parallel universe :

Sherlock : Hmm, am i humain ?
John :...Sometimes.
Sherlock : Not sometimes, yes or no ?
John : Yes, you do.
Sherlock : Yes i know. Am I tall ?
John : Not as much as people think.
Sherlock : Important ?
John : Hmm..*Thinking* Yes.
Sherlock : Handsome ?
John : Hey, it's my turn.
Sherlock : Yes ? or no ?
John : Yes, yes. You are handsome.
Sherlock : But don't forget, the concept of beauty is simp-
John : Yes i know, i know but i think you are handsome.
Sherlock : Am i Gavin Lestrade ?
John : It's Greg. And no. You are really, reallyy far.
