Bucky and Wanda

After the Westview thing, Bucky had been asked to take in Wanda.  Logically, he knew that he should have.  But when he found her she looked so broken.  Which is why he had gotten her into the same program that he was in.  She was pardoned, but had to see the therapist once a week.  Her therapist, a man named Charles Xavier, had suggested that they go out once a week together to become friends.

It had led to something more.

Tonight was the end of their third date, and leaning over, Bucky kissed Wanda softly.

And then pulled back with wide eyes.

“I’m sorry.  I should have asked before kissing you.”

“ just say the words. tell me you want me and i’m yours. ”

“Wanda...” How could he? But also, how could he not? Saying nothing would be cruel and, of course, a lie. Even if only by omission. Yet admitting what he felt... He had nothing to offer her, nothing to his name but a trail of blood and nightmares. Why she would even want...

“I want you.” Quiet but sure. “But you shouldn’t want me.” It wasn’t self-pity. It was the truth.

   The power he felt emanating from this woman was startling to say the least, he’d expected an explosion, maybe one of his siblings causing havoc, not a -- was she a witch? “Darling, if’ve learned one thing in my years its that guilt will run you ragged.” Damming you in the long run with your own self hate. He knew it well. “Sadly I can’t help you with that, but I’ve a lovely therapist I could recommend.”

“Visions.” Loki replied. “Of a life not lived, of people I’ve lost.” His eyes scanned the horizon before coming back to look at Wanda. “My mother warned me that I would lose myself to fantasies if I wasn’t careful.”

“Is it wrong to call your boyfriend a toaster? Cause he’s a toaster. Sorry to break it to you.” Pietro liked Vision, he did. He just couldn’t not remind Wanda, lovingly of course, that Vision wasn’t exactly human. “Or would microwave be more accurate?”

“I don’t trust Agatha as far as I can throw her, and while I can throw pretty far...I haven’t averaged how far I can throw a witch.”
