It wasn’t often that Jason took a break, but he had made an exception to meet Kori and sit on the beach with her. They had toured the town, allowing Jason to see her new home. It was nice and warm. The entire place reminded him of her, of everything he had come to enjoy about the woman.

He let out a soft sigh as he reclined, palms resting against the sand, warmth radiating into his skin. If he was smiling, he wouldn’t admit it, but he did allow himself to relax.

"coffee"

                    coffee is love, coffee is life            STATUS: SELECTIVELY ACCEPTING

JASON  doesn’t realize  he’s  falling asleep until there’s a  mug of  coffee next to the elbow braced against  the  table  and  his  unfocused  gaze  is torn away from the sentence he’s read and reread eight times. He  slides into a proper sitting position, runs a hand through his hair, looks up at his generous caffeine donor.

         ❝ Hey. ❞

The greeting’s short, half-slurred with a stifled yawn, and Jason rolls his shoulders,   takes a long sip of the hot drink,   eyes watering at the heat. The next words are sincere, though, a tired smile tugging at his lips.

         ❝ —— Thanks. ❞

and he and kori friendzoned each other

he likes ALL the girls

“Shit! Sorry, I didn’t see you there… Are you okay?”

“ I’m fine.           My hair is a little singed, but I’m fine. ”

He moved from his position, lowering his bow && arrowwhile turning to face her.  She’d dealt with the problembefore he’d even managed to loose a single arrow.

             “ I guess that takes care of the giant robot, huh?                                                 You um.  More or less got it. ”

More or less was an understatement.
