Dir En Grey "The Final"
SORRY FOR THE UNANNOUNCED HIATUS!
I’ve been dealing with some unprompted familial issues, but luckily it’s gotten peaceful in whoville as of late. I have an Ellie fic that I’m finishing up, along with a Dallas one and another! So you guys should see my writing sometime soon!!
enamored by shrews.

just taking a moment to think that Vegas always saw Pete, right, but he didn't really see Pete until the torture scene. So, what if something big happened before Tawan, the capture, etc, that let him see who Pete really was.
I'm thinking, we never really get confirmation on who kidnapped Kinn and Porsche, right? (maybe we did and I missed it, who cares) What if those people were legit trying to kidnap Kinn for money, ransom, whatevs. And after it fails so very spectacularly, they try for a smaller prize. The minor family kids.
They get lucky one day, when Vegas and Macau are out at that temple, and manage to grab them. But oh, ho, they are not expecting Pete to be with them, and he gets grabbed too until they can figure out who he is. (Maybe they saw Vegas grabbing his ass, so they're curious to who he is?)
Cut to them all tied up, and a guard goes to slap Macau around a bit and Pete is not having it. He doesn't care about Vegas or the minor family, but he's not just going to sit there and watch a kid get hit, right? He screams for them to hit him instead. "Khun Kun's not going to pay if you accidentally kill his son, right? Hit me instead?"
and Vegas has to sit there and watch this man, who he never gave much of a second thought to, get hit over and over again, to bleed for his younger brother. Pete has no responsibility to them, no one, including Vegas, would have blamed him if he sat there and kept his mouth shut, but instead he puts his literal body inbetween a fist and his brother for no other reason than being a decent person.
Gah, the Oh, moment Vegas would be having.
Positively bonkers week writing wise, may cope by doing Not Tarot readings for followers like I did years ago, more to come
